slow narrator, Great story

wonderful book but had to listen at 1.5 speed for it to sound normal since the narrator spoke so slowly. other than that it was still a great performance.

just have a straight forward fight

This was a hard listen, all the fights are drawn out and full of Deux Ex Machina moments leaving me skipping whole chapters just to progress a single fight scene.

Great Narrator

Very good narrator. Great main character. Good character development and world building. Leaves a lot to expand on. Very excited for more books to come.

Slow start great finish

Love the storyline and looking forward to book 2. Fast paced and easy listen as I work out

way the story is told is annoying

generally I like most power fantasy stories, this one I found annoying.
the plot armor is ridiculous, MC is about to die then something happens just as he's about to die and the second before death the plot saves him with a convenient upgrade.
Also the story seems really dragged out, even going back in time to tell events in the past that dont add anything.

Well written, but not that interesting to me

Interesting premise, companions are mid, narration is ok, but it just never grabbed me in a compelling way. It's just an okay listen. I will not follow this series further.

Tired in imaginative system

The compared to 1% life steal not at all alike except on the surface. Today 15 words is silly this isn’t a reading app it’s for the lazy and less imaginative

explain and describe in book form

holy crap the author described everything in excruciating detail without also describes our explained everything everyone it comes up over and over and over again. every fight every person ever l every thought. then every woman he meets is strong brave courageous and the males are almost all background characters. it's so very monotonous.

entertaing

use of same description many times over. example he uses in a heartbeat alot. could use a 10th of a second, lightning fast ect.

Won't buy another book from this author ever again
