Narrator sounds like the Warcraft DOS Sound Test

"Your sound card works perfectly" it was distracting. Good story, a little to close to Solo Leveling.

Not like solo leveling but similar aspects

All the reviews said it was just like solo leveling. Sadly it wasn’t, it had some similarities like the blade and the summoning. But the story was distinctly different from solo leveling with more of a revenge premise that he has to accomplish after growing stronger. If you liked solo leveling you will enjoy this, but do not go in thinking it’s the same story. I was hoping for the same story like all those reviews. But they mistook the fact that writers can take aspects of their favorite stories to add to their work. I game it a 4 for story since I don’t like how the fact the author makes the character to perfect when it came to the premise of saving humanity. Other than that it was a great listen, not the best. But it gets the job done!

Unexpected

This was a wild book. Got like Game of Thornes feelings because never nlknownwhat will happen. Starts with fights, betrayals, death and pure willpower to take back everything stolen from him. Vengeance will be his.

Well done. Well narrated.  will be looking forward to the next from this author. Is worth a listen. Give it a try.

I enjoyed book 1 more then book 2.

I kept waiting for character development. Ended up being level grinding with new allies every rift who were eventually killed off. Missed opportunities to have a balanced story.

I liked the story overall, but only thing I did not like was the.fact that if he had to save someone else or protect another he failed every time less.he gained something in doing so, It's no surprise he was so easily betrayed, as he only really thinks of his form of righteousness is the only answer, I'll carry on but if the char continues to refuse to grow and learn this will get old fast, as plot armor protecting the Mc will only go so far with no real growth of the mc... I mean seriously he could of saved the healer, but he just called her useless and did not even bother to talk to her on what she could fully do, then again I guess the same could be said about all the others as well, in the end I'll carry on but right now I only see a bunch more so called allies and friends dieing because the author wants to keep the Mc a secret from the others... sigh... I think there is potential here but I'm just not seeing how

like the reader. the story is gripping from the beginning. it does not go deep into the system and skills. just enough to make it work.
