Interesting MC, good flow of the story

The narrator is a bit slow, but if you speed it up you get a nicer experience.

The story is good and the MC is quite interesting.

A more believable MC

I like how the MC isn't a complete and total do gooder trope. He has faults and struggles, but tries to do the best he can. A great book. Really looking forward to book 2. I've already pre-ordered it.

Extremely interesting, but with a couple odd choices

I really enjoyed listening to this. I rated "story" just 4 stars because there were several narrative switch-ups that seemed to come out of nowhere. I liked all paths presented, but my expectations had been for one flow.when something massively different began happening instead. I'm not saying the story is fragmented. Instead there are sharp zigs and zags in a manner I am unused to. That said I will be starting book 2 momentarily.

This was good ...I want more

I like this MC a lot. He's got the goods, but he's not infallible. Also, I love that he knows stuff, but he doesn't know everything, and that the he doesn't even presume to have all the answers. He's an imperfect guy, fantastic character development, especially at the end. Action scenes could be beefed up little bit, but it's still pretty good. IMO I'd rather get B-grade action scenes and A-grade story telling ....than to get A-grade action scenes and a C-grade story.

Well done my G. Blaise Corvin is worth following. I don't like everything he does, but he can write ...and as for the stuff he does that I do like ...I like them a lot!!! This book was awesome. Very much looking forward to the next installment.

Story was really interesting, VA can’t really do female voices very well but that’s okay still really great!

From Hero to School?

The start of the book started really good. Very down to Earth, with earth problems.
Then what seemed to be getting good, suddenly it started to become a book about going to school, with classes and everything.
It just got weird, but overall it’s a good book. I just wish the preview actually previewed a little bit on that. Kinda felt a bit lead by the nose.

Man I loved this book and almost stopped listening in the first 2 chapters

Great book solid story. The MC complains about his short comings in his past life but doesn't change. He's a summoner right? Why doesn't he spend time trying to find strong spirits? it's like a swordsman who won't learn the sword. He's not 18 he remembers being an older person so let's stop the BS coming of age stuff.

A great start

Great story and good writing. I enjoyed the characters and the world building. Can’t wait for the next one and where the adventure goes from there.

Originality and a great story that doesn't rely on stats

it feels like it's been ages since I got to listen to a good isekai that didn't require me to skip 3-5 minutes to skip over the slog of upgraded stats to show character progress.

love the characters, story progress, pace and mystery of what's going on. I really hope the author can keep it up. my credits are going to start going towards the authors other titles
