This was absolute PERFECTION!!! The story was magnificent, and it flowed so beautifully. Everything about it was balanced just right…between the storyline, the world building, the characters’ personalities, the spice, the humor, the pain, the heartache, the mystery, and of course, the chaotic love story between our beautifully flawed characters, Reign & all her guys. Celia was so amazing at bringing all the different aspects of Reign’s personality to life, as well as matching the
energy & voices of the guys. As for Vincent, while he was everything I could want for all the guys characters, I will admit to loving him as Raff’s voice the most. There was just something about how he said “Miss Harrow” that just made butterflies swoop through my insides lol. I can’t say enough about this story, and the amazing dual narration of it. I’m even more excited for Beck’s story to be brought to life now 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Great story and narration. Dal sounds like Stewie from Family Guy. It made me smile every time.

is one of my top Why Choose authors… but throw in a rockstar romance with 4 hot bodyguards!!?? YES PLEASE. Reign had been through so much in her personal life and she came back as a force to be reckoned with!! I don’t blame her for the walls she put up but it was amazing experiencing Dal, Cillian, Astro, and Raffiel tear them down. As per usual, Katie gives you 4 different personalities and relationships from the guys and there’s something for everyone 😜 the spice as usual was top tier RH scenes of course 🤌🏻🤌🏻
I listened to this one on audio and Celia Stone and Vincent Skye did an amazing job with this dual narration. Honestly I recommend any audiobook from Katie’s library!

Why choose rockstar romance at its finest

I was finally excited to start this series of standalone interconnected standalone romances in the Legends and Love series. I love rockstar romances and am a mood reader so it felt like a good time to swap them into my TBL list. I am already almost finished book 2 in the series haha and am excited next month to listen to books 3 and 4 (especially 4 since it's MM!!!).

I enjoyed the storyline of this one except the 3rd act break-up does sometimes become annoying to me but I understand why the author did it. It made sense and I am glad they got back together quickly and it wasn't super drawn out. I enjoyed the different guys in this harem and the character art that goes with them was spot on. You have Raphael (sorry if that is not the spelling, this is what I get for listening and not reading haha) the Aussie who is the leader who had some amazing moments by (the who ice cream part and nuggies made me laugh and smile so much!!). He was the most stoic but also had to make some tough calls. You have Dal who had a really rough childhood and could have easily been a bad guy in one of these stories with his personality and traits if you know what I mean. He gave some adorable moments that made me swoon so hard. When he would help Reign with her songs, with the jewelry, so made out of nowhere goodies from him! Astro was so dang adorable and his family was the cherry on the cake. He was the most empathetic, most squishy and my absolute favorite. He fell first for her and it showed. I want a man like him so badly. He also has some trauma and self doubt and it was heartbreaking in those scenes to see him show that to Reign. Cillian was super flirty and the proverbial naughty one haha. The antics he got into, the egging people on was so great. His double teaming skills too though!!

Loved these guys! They are such baddies and scary bodyguards but are so much more than that. Such cinnamon rolls haha. Now Reign is a total BA and I want a bestie like her when I grow up haha. She has had so many things thrown at her, the industry she lives in is so fake and mean, I couldn't do what she does. So many fake friends, paps trying to get you on at your worst and show the world, the stress that comes with touring and writing music. I will say I at least felt a little better about her ex after he had that epiphany. Still doesnt excuse what he did to her though. And loved our furball added into the story :) I have always loved music, wanted to be on Broadway when I was growing up so seeing little glimpses of song writing, performing, etc. was a lot of fun. I also loved the other characters we got to meet along the way, some getting their own HEA as well!

Overall I really enjoyed the story, would give it 4.5 out of 5 stars. I was sometimes on the fence with the audio though and gave that one 4/5 stars which is why my overall is 4-4.5 stars for book 1 of this series (can tell you book 2 gets an easy 5 stars haha). I think the accents were throwing me off and this would have been much better as a duet narration instead of a dual. The accents with Raph and Dal were throwing me off and sometimes they felt mixed up or I had a hard time telling who was talking if they were both in a conversation. Narrators did a good job, and again giving them 4 stars is not a hit at them. Just hard with the different personalities and accents, it just took me out of the story sometimes which is why I couldn't give it a 5 stars.

I still recommend this book highly and even more so book 2 (Rebel). That review coming soon! I love how adaptable this author is with her writing, how many genres and different types of stories but you can tell its her writing with how BA the female lead is, the humor she brings into some dark situations, and the strong bonds she creates within the harem and even more so with side characters. I loved how Reign and Beck met and were shown in this one, how Reign and Trav were (even when Reigns guys beat him up haha). Great job!
