Burn with me follows Rory(FMC) and Isaac(MMC) and begins with their parents getting married. Isaac is forced to keep an eye on his step sister, and as their hatred for one another grows, temptation is not far behind. Rory and Isaac go down a rabbit hole, trying to figure out the "why" behind their parents' sudden marriage. This book was spicy, dark, and
forbidden. With every twist and turn, it kept me on my toes and wanting more. I can't wait to read book 2 🖤

Mixed

Ultimately, I’m interested enough to maybe continue w/ book 2.

But is anyone else lamenting the days when getting a book published required a certain level of writing and creativity? It’s not that this is terrible. But it definitely isn’t stellar. The writing is bland and formulaic. It’s cookbook and fill in the blank fodder - the wording and style are lazy. There’s nothing to really invest in.

Clever and highly enjoyable

I am a Lucy Smoke fan. I love that she did an Icarus retelling?? Who comes up with that?? I love it. And I love Lucy's dark mind and the way she creates these enemies to lovers stories that aren't boring and always have secrets that uncover so well.

I think all voices that should be female, be spoken by female, and same for male. when the male (female) "repeats" what the female (male) says, it doesn't go with the flow of the story
