Editorial reviews

In this live lecture from Logos Bible Study, Dr. Bill Creasey reads and interprets the Book of Micah from the Old Testament. Creasey uses his academic expertise as a former professor of English literature in helping students decipher the book's content. Prophet Micah, a contemporary of Isaiah, responds in dialogue throughout seven chapters to the destructive promises of God.

Few scholars approach the Bible with Creasey's exceptional brand of warmth, devotion, and intellect. He sounds like a friendly pastor who knows his Bible backwards and forwards, and - more than that - knows how to communicate ancient lessons to a modern audience.

Publisher's summary

The Book of Micah is a complex mixture of judgment and hope. God is a god of justice, as well as a god of love, and genuine peace cannot come until justice prevails on earth. Micah’s message of judgment culminates in the redemption of Israel and of all humanity, but a fearful judgment must come first. Join Logos Bible Study’s Dr. Bill Creasy as he explains how judgment and hope are intimately intertwined in the plan of salvation.

Do Justly, love mercy, walk humbly with your God

Dr Creasy puts Micah in context with Isaiah and, as always, brings all the Bible books to life!

Act justly, love mercy, walk humbly with your God

I enjoyed Dr. Creasy's comparisons and contrasts between Micah and some of the other prophets like Isaiah. I also enjoyed how Dr. Creasy explained how Micah carved out his own niche by focusing on the smaller towns in Judah and Israel. My favorite part is what God requires of us...to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with our God.

Wonderful Lecture!

This is another great lecture from Dr. Bill Creasy. He is always incredibly insightful and engaging. He often supplements the material with personal stories which are relevant and interesting. He has taken several trips to Israel and the Middle East where he visits the locations depicted in the Bible and he shares those first hand accounts which enables him to take you back to that point in time that the scripture is talking about.
