Publisher's Summary

Are you tired of trying to live for Christ - only to fail time and time again with the same old behaviors? Do you pray for guidance, ask for deliverance, and vow to do better yet fail to progress?

As an author, speaker, pastor, and blogger at Ragamuffin Soul, Carlos has lived much of his spiritual life in the spotlight. But like any Christian, his faith story has its ups and downs. He spent decades trying to figure out how to be a "better person." Time and time again, he strived for holiness only to get caught in the web of destructive habits, behaviors, and thought patterns.

But the buck stops here. Or, rather, the spider is killed here.

In Kill the Spider, Carlos shares personal material ranging from hilarious, self-deprecating stories to passion-filled wisdom - to show others it's not enough to try to "stop sinning". He teaches that knocking out deep-rooted habits and issues comes by treating the issue, not just the symptoms.

With transparency, humor, and vulnerable stories, Carlos offers a breath of fresh air to any believer looking to finally step into the freedom in Christ. So sit down. Start listening to the book. And grab a shoe. We're going on a spider hunt.

Life-changing idea!

Would you listen to Kill the Spider again? Why?

I would absolutely listen to this again and again...partially because Carlos is so entertaining...and mostly because it was relatable.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Carlos is a hoot! He has away of helping you see yourself in his own struggles which allows you to be very honest about your own reality.

What about Carlos Whittaker’s performance did you like?

It’s so sincere!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I think I literally cried when he was yelling at “God”in therapy...who hasn’t asked asked those same questions or felt that deep sense of loss and abandonment?

Any additional comments?

This story doesn’t just get you to look at your problems...it helps you to look deeper than that for the reality of why you started using that as a crutch in the first place. Great book! I’m so glad someone in a group I’m in on Facebook answered the question: Most life-changing Book you read in 2017?

Fantastic book that left me sobbing.

Los, you wrote a winner with this book. It is going to bring so much healing to people. I have already identified several of my cobwebs and spiders, but I have many more. I listened to the entire book in one day and will pick up a hard copy soon, so I can use my highlighter and pen. I highly recommend this book to everyone.
