Publisher's Summary

Read by author.

The world has never been more distracting—joy has never been more possible.

You live with a massive amount of distraction:

  • Desperate headlines
  • Smartphone scrolling
  • An endless to-do list

Not to mention the nagging questions of your heart:

  • Am I making the right decision?
  • Am I with the right person?
  • Will my past mistakes keep me from my best future?

Through the pithy and inspiring storytelling that has endeared him to millions, New York Times bestselling author Bob Goff invites you to laugh with more gusto, dream with more confidence, and love with more intention in this disarming call to live Undistracted.

Bob’s stories are like the rumble strips on the road that make you suddenly alert to how far you have drifted from your lane. From visiting friends in San Quentin to accidentally getting into a stalker’s car at the airport to establishing Uganda’s first space program, Bob shows you the way back to an audaciously attentive life.

Your undistracted life is an adventure waiting to happen. What stories will you live with undistracted purpose and unstoppable joy?

For a very specific demographic

As someone who no longer associates myself with Christianity, I found this book difficult to finish. I believe there could be helpful information here but the focus on religion made it hard for me to hear the lessons. It’s also difficult to relate to Bob when he tells stories about flying his plane and anecdotes about his wealthy and famous friends. The majority of the world does not have access to such privilege. I can imagine that it’s much easier to be “undistracted” when you live the kind of life that Mr. Goff does.

A book for Christians specifically.

If you aren’t Christian you may be uncomfortable. I think it’s sad when authors negate the rest of the world when they write. I thought this was a book about focus, but it’s more a book about focusing on the Christian version an ideal life. There’s some helpful points in it if you don’t mind to weed through it and find what’s for you and what’s not. Not for everyone.

Too Many Personal Stories

There are too many personal stories in the book. There were few practical tips that address overcoming distractions.

Can’t get enough of Bob Goff and his stories!

My kids have listened to ‘Love Does’ at least 20 times, and read it out loud twice. This new book, ‘Undistracted.’ is just as amazing!

We love learning how we can be better disciples of Christ and live our mission and purpose! Thanks so much Bob Goff, for living yours!

My real life super hero…..

My wife teases me by yelling “Squirrel” when I bounce to a new subject or story and I admit it- I have it bad. Been looking forward to this book and Bob doesn’t disappoint. He teaches us with stories and real life examples of his goodness. I just sent a copy to my brother John and I’ll be listening again tomorrow and taking notes next time. Bob does it again with a topic we all deal with everyday and gives us doable solutions. Thank you Bob

Excellent Motivator

Perhaps another word for distracted should unbelief. When we don't believe in ourselves and our potential we get distracted from our true purpose which may not be one purpose but a lifetime of purposes. Goff leads you through the meanderings and predicaments of life to come out on the other side undistracted and purpose driven. I think this is a great book for anyone even people that don't believe in God or are not a Christian because you'll find the common thread of goodness. it's up to you if you want to take it a step further. It's very uplifting, kind and interesting. I might read it again and take some notes.

This book is a catalyst for change and growth. The well woven stories and applications cut right to the core. Convicting. Inspiring. Relevant. I discovered this book at the right season in my life and felt every word was written just for me. Thank you Bob. Thank you God.

Too many stories. For me it was lacking valuable new ideas / content. Lacking golden nuggets.

Just what I needed

This book came at exactly the right time for me. I find a kindred spirit in Bob and have been thinking about purpose a lot lately. I have always used the scatter gun approach to life doing anything and everything but have wondered whether I need to curb that, Bob has provided a great example of a purposeful life that is still full of everything and anything!

Beautiful book

I love that this book makes you ask yourself certain questions and that Bob Goff said a few times that just agreeing with him does nothing ;) A kind kick in the bum ;)

There’s a lot to Love about love about Bob!

I found this book to be greatly encouraging even as it challenged me to this about the way I interact with others. I love the idea I’d being generously available, so I’ve been trying it myself. Life definitely should be more about the people in it rather than the titles and other things we have been sold to believe are more important.
