Ashlock wakes in the courtyard of a demonic sect... as a tree. A tree that eats people.

But his peaceful life and man-eating ways can only go unnoticed for so long. His Qi-rich bark makes him a target for many young masters. If that isn't bad enough, tensions in the demonic sect are at an all-time high with the Beast Tide festers on the horizon.

Ashlock's only option is to grow faster and stronger than any tree has ever done in the history of the nine realms—all while trying to avoid being turned into firewood.

Best book about a tree I've ever read

If you're worried about reading a book about a tree - don't be. Loved this book, can't wait for the next installment.

Interesting twist in cultivation litRPG

For a book about a single tree (kind of, but not really), this gets an A+ in my book. Don't skip ahead, but I especially like chapter 58. Awesome. I've probably read 60-100 LitRPG books to date and I only wish I'd bought Reborn as a Demonic Tree sooner! 100% worth a credit! I'm pre-ordering #2 and watching for (or pre-ordering, if possible) book #3 now. (A task I've historically reserved for Dungeon Crawler Carl, The Wandering Inn, Ripple system, The Land, He who fights w Monsters, Defiance of the Fall, Spellmonger, etc). If any of those other titles are your fortè, then fear not & buy Reborn as a Demonic Tree now. Enjoy the listen!

This was such an amazing book. I honestly can't complain about a single thing. The author did a fantastic job of taking an idea that seems like there would be very little story to support it and make it into something memorable. Very well done. I really can't wait for this series to continue.

keep them coming. One of the best books of its kind but incredibly original. Takes all the tropes and ideas you’ve already read and more and puts you in a story that blends them perfectly. Never boring and completely obsessed with the series.
