Oh, and some mysterious figure seems to be watching and judging his every move - so signing that NDA is feeling like less and less of a solid choice.

Either way, James is up for the challenge. Even if it means building a dungeon around kamikaze sheep, enraged cows, unhygienic pigs, and yes...Dickens.

At least his next randomly selected mob type can’t be worse...right?

good read

I'm a fan of dungeon crawler Carl and he who fights with monsters, this is kinda up the same street Travis is great as always

Relaxed dungeon core

The story was a fun one. The comedy of the story is expressed well by Travis with enough jokes that being great to remember the past

Bought for Baldree, stayed for the story

quite enjoyed the quirkiness of this one. good characters and interesting plot. plus steampunk dinosaurs are something you do not read about often.

I wasn't expecting this.

My God, a dungeon core story without the adventurers and core working together to thwart some evil plot?!? Needless to say I hate when the dungeon runners become aware of the cores intelligence and too many books follow that trend. I drop every dungeon core book the moment it happens because that's when the mystery and fun dies (looking at Divine Dungeon, Dinosaur Dungeon and Elemental Dungeon). Is it too much to ask for a chill story full of evolving monsters, funny puns and a leveling system? Apparently not because I got all of those things in this story.

I will be quite irritated if they learn who the dungeon cores are in later books because dungeon & runner coop always tends to be a wet blanket on the moods of most dungeon books for me. I can only hope this doesn't happen here.

Fun little listen

It was a decent book nothing hooked me in to much with the first book but I will say I’m definitely excited to listen to the second book and hear where the stories goes. Also loved some of the references! NI!

Loved the original so biased on the remake

I loved the original story, before the remake. I do know what happens sadly that means I have to hold off on my biggest issue with this story for that to happen.
Tho with any luck they would of fixed the original issues like the references that are explained instead of just being left there.
So knowing the old problems means this is alot better to listen to. Thus look at a different review if you don't want a bias.

Can't wait for the next book

I only have 3 hours left in the book and I find myself doing everything I can to procrastinate getting to the end. This book is so good, that I really don't want it to end.

This was a Helluva FUN book!

This was One Helluva FUN book to read, and as soon as I finished Dungeon Core Online, I bought my daughter a copy!!! Yeah, it's just that good... and who knows, I may get her hooked on gamelit!!!! 🤣
I loved James (our protagonist)! He was so excited to log into one of the most hyped VRMMORPG to be released online ever! And now, he's ready... logged in, waiting, watching the timer count down to the game's release! But instead of starting his gamer build as anticipated (in order to start his dungeon crawl), James was given the opportunity to be the dungeon! It was an opportunity he simply couldn't refuse, and that changes everything! First off, James must sign a NDA, and thus began the most eye-opening tutorial that he's ever experienced. James is only 17 years old, but really, he's played LOTS of games! He finds his AI assistant is the most personable and sentient one that he's ever worked with, so he figures that the game devopers simply stepped-up the realism in their game (LOL)!!!
The book is also chock full of pop-cultural references and there's plenty of action too... and that's just the way I like it!!! Perfect!
As for Travis Baldree? Well, he's Travis Baldree, and he delivered yet another Stellar performance as narrator (seriously, did we expect any different?) 😊👍
