Author takes a bit to find their voice

The opening to the book leaves a lot to be desired, but about a third of the way through the book the author finds their voice and it becomes a much better book.

Great adventure for the mind

It’s a common story plot, but with the twists and turns it was made into a great book

For anyone interested in RPGs but not playing video games or DnD

I use to be a heavy gamer before my son was born. He’s taken up a lot of the time I use to game (not that I’m complaining) and finding this series was a godsend. I get the feelings and the satisfaction in this story that I would if I had of sat down and booted up an RPG or even sitting around playing DnD with my friend in highschool. The pacing is fantastic. The story is interesting and kept me coming back. Can’t wait to finish the rest of this series

More Great LitRPG

Just coming off of reading book 4; I really enjoy this series, Michael is a good protagonist, and the narration is great.

Very Engaging

Well written story and great narration.. Likeable MC, but too much inner dialogue while fighting. More detailed fight scenes would be ideal. Also, all of the stats continually being read is a minus..

Narrator speaks very slow.

The first half of the book was incredibly boring, the MC’s stupidity grew as the book went on, but after chapter 30 the book did pick up, and I rather enjoyed the book from there on. I hope to see more intelligence going forward. And a tip for people just starting the book or wanting to listen, out the speed at 1.2 it will be a more enjoyable listen.

Worth it

I enjoyed this tale and am looking forward to the next installment. The narrator was easy to listen to and did a great job. I would recommend this to anyone that likes litrpgs.

Immersive adventure

This has been one of my favorite reads this year. I discovered it by chance, and I could not stop both listening and reading each and every chapter. This series is perfect for any DnD, isekai, or overall fantasy lover out there. Do not sleep on this one! I've listened to the first 4 books, and I can't wait for the rest!
