Loved it and continuing the binge

Just finished this one and have started the next, still loving the series and wonder how Elain and Iona will meet some day.

Continues to Get Better

Every book in this series continues to get better and the story continues to draw me in. I somehow ended up liking even the parts I thought I would hate. Overall, well done. I was a bit surprised at Elaine's meteoric rise in prominence, which was the only thing I felt was rushed and unrealistic. The stat spam sadly continues unabated but is mostly limited to the ends of the chapters. On the plus side, I do appreciate that the plot marches on at a good pace in this series, unlike the uber detailed snail's pace of a series like The Wandering Inn.

it's good

I really don't like the minimum word count requirements for audible reviews. . . .

I absolutely love this series

There's just something ridiculously addicting about this series: I listened to book 2 in preparation to listening to this one, and I pretty much went straight through both in a couple days. There's just always something going on, some progression being made, and the over arching plot being revealed.

It was okay

I liked a lot of the story. There was just a handful of moments that felt ridiculous.

Grab this addictive story!

I kinda grimaced at the beginning of this book, it just seemed like it would be another back to school litRPG 🥱. I should'a known better it was written Silkie Myth and Silkie really hasn't let me down in the first 3 books. Yes it's true Elaine had to go to ranger school to get polished up to be an all-rounder and to verify that she was cut-out for this life. And class was interesting indeed. This school was like being on speed learning with a lotta wins for Elaine. And then graduation. After that Elaine may have delt with another plague too. Ohhhh and yeah, pirates.
Ohhhh and I really like Andrea Emmes narration too.
So yeah grab the book and get addicted to Elaine's adventures!

Here's a couple of quotes I enjoyed:

"I had never been called an otter before but if the highest level human in existence wanted to call me an otter I'd swim on my back and carry a pebble."

"She defenistrated him after checking that he had a swimming skill."

I love this series so much!!!

omg omg omg Dawn and Dusk I'm squealing right now.
Please please please become bonded lovers 🤞🤞🤞
I love the pacing, the world-building, the way the system is portrayed, and especially love how much I identify with Elaine. I don't know if she's intended to be autistic and have ADHD like I do, but there's so many little things that match up with me and it's so wonderful to see in a protagonist 🥰
