This book stands out

This is a strange entry in the series. The book is covering a lot of ground over a very large slice of time with little snippets from the time that’s racing by. It’s still a wonderful book, but it’s a little different than any of the earlier entries. *Spoilers and speculation going forward.*

It’s perfectly under stable as its setting up the next major event of the series that’s been building up since book 6-7, the Immortal war is gonna kick off and we needed to know that in these decades that a lot happened that was important and fulfilling in their lives before everything changes again.

Okay Installment In The Series

I have really enjoyed this series and was looking forward to this book. I really have to say, I'm disappointed. The performance was excellent, as always, but I found the story, or stories, lacking. The book leaps forward in time over the course of a number of short stories that are connected through Elaine. While they were good stories, they always seemed to end just as interesting things were happening. This book could have been a 10/10 if it was about twice as long and expanded the stories more. As it stands, the book is a 6/10 installment, leaving you wanting more in the end, unfortunately not in a good way.

Love how the time skips are handled!

Another amazing book by Selkie, and not to mention the amazing performance by Andrea!

Something that really stood out to me, is how the common issue of time skips are dealt with in this series. I love how, due to the many immortals (or nigh-immortals), as well as the well-defined premise of such people living slower, more methodical lives, make not too much change throughout the years of the book.
Not only does this serve to advance the plot in a realistic time frame, but it gets the characters that are less important to the plot out of the way.

A good part that subtly shows this in Elaine's POV is when she meets Nyx for the second time, saying that it only felt like he was a kid "3 days ago."
This serves to give a good insight into the mind of the immortals of this book, and how Elaine has become one of such in mind as well.

Overall, another amazing book in the series! Wish it was longer, but hey, that could be said for them all.

A tiny bit bitter, but mostly sucrose sweet-like a mango

Loved the series thus far, and this book would have made a great end to the saga—save for a very few unresolved plots. I’m glad the adventure continues though!

I could read this series for all eternity.

Can’t wait to see what’s next!

Still good

This was still great. I enjoyed the OverPowered moments the MC has. I have a rule, that I don't spend credits on books that are less than 15 hours, or if they are a part of a good series, less than 10 hours. I broke my rule for this book and don't really regret it, but I'm not sure if I can keep doing it. With only 2 credits per month, I had listened to this in 3 days. There are full series with 40 hours for 1 credit. They might not be as good, but still.

But I do love the story and how it's developing so far.
