Pretty Okay

Was enjoyable, power system is unique, character is a bit too MC for me but it works for the plot just not my cup of tea.

Excellent start!

I won’t be too wordy here, but I absolutely love the story! This is the second time I’m reading this novel and it’s still amazing. The only thing that would constitute in, “issue,“ is that the writing is a bit shaky along with a little bit of the narration. Neither or bad enough to Take away from the story, and there is obvious and visible improvement. Don’t let this deter you, an amazing series!

A decent start to a series

While I like the story, I struggled with the execution.
Erin Neil (Narrator/voice actor) has a good voice, but lacks some vocabulary. The time it took to figure out the word she mispronounced pulled me out of the flow.
I am unsure if the editor listed at the end is for the writing or the audiobook. The writing needs better editing. Show me dont tell me, and definitely dont tell me then also show me.
As I said, I like the story. Its flaws are down to its quality control with the writing editor and boice acting.

for some reason book 1 doesn't show up as part of the series with book 2 on audible. hoping that gets fixed

I am entertained

I like this book reminded me of a couple of other book that I liked like as a ran healer, and Amber the cursed berserker. The only deficit I could really say is that not every battle needs to be won by the skin of her teeth.

I freaking loved it.

How does this not have more ratings? I tore through Book 1 and 2 and grabbed Book 3 on Kindle without even blinking.

Book 1 had the perfect balance—not too heavy on the system stuff (which I love reading, just not so much hearing narrated at me). Book 2 leaned into it more, which wasn’t exactly my thing, but the story still had me completely hooked.

I especially loved the MC’s time in the adventurer’s guild. That arc had personality—some fun, some chaos, a bit of drunken nonsense, and a lot of heart. Once she left, though, it started to feel like one non-stop fight after another. Still cool, just… I found myself missing those playful, more grounded moments.

There’s also a good bit of girl-love going on, and heads up—she’s definitely not a one-girl type of… girl. That might not be for everyone, but it worked for me.

If you're into action-packed series with an overpowered main character who keeps pushing her limits and somehow finds herself in danger every other chapter, this series delivers. I just wish it kept a bit more of that carefree spark from Book 1. Still not docking any stars, though—I'm just genuinely surprised this isn’t way more popular.

This book was similar to another book… Azarinth Healer. So if you like this book I think you really like AH.

This book was good, it will be an in between series while I wait for others to come out. DOF, HWFWM, and Primal Hunter, my main LitRPG’m series.

Fantastic series

Really was a great listen. Had everything you could want from a LITRPG: great action, a weak to strong progression with foes that are always so much stronger, some romance without being emotional, excellent world building, and a well thought out system. Loved both books and book 3 should be right around the corner. Can’t wait. If you’re on the fence just do it. I’d say it’s most likely Azarinth Healer and Primal Hunter lots of good times wandering and adventuring. Enjoy I know I did

when does the story actually start?

Two hours into a 14 hour book and the story (plot) hasn't actually started yet. I didn't bother continuing...

never managed to make me really care for the main character

good at action scenes, not great at social scenes. I just never ended up really feeling engaged by the main characters story which led to me not finishing the book with only a few hours left.
