The narrator ruined this story

It’s like they hired a porn star to read this book. The ridiculous breathy narration is AWFUL. Kay Scarpetta would be horrified

Wow...

I starting reading the Dr. Scapetta series years ago but only made it to about Book 5. I regret not continuing reading back then. I was especially moved by this book. Very, very well written and told.

Horrid narrator

The book as usual was wonderful. The narrator on the other hand was AWFUL. She made Kay sound timid, whiny, and weak. It took me a long time to get past it and just listen to the words

The narrator was so strident I tried to return.

I have thoroughly enjoyed Cornwell’s writing and have read most. I tried to return this due to the narrator but was notified it is ineligible for return.

Not narrated well

Where did CJ Critt go? Narration was to singsong and over dramatic the last 8 books Scarpetta was strong and even keeled this story I got the impressions of her being weak and uncertain and I feel it was because of the narration.
