Great book

I love the Scarlett’s series! I listen on Audible and out of the Three readers for this series thus far, Kate Reading is my absolute favorite!

Another excellent read!

This mystery novel had a lot of intricately woven storylines going on. Great weaving of the plot to keep me interested till the end. Loved it

Gripping tale

A lot of loose ends at the end - will they be tidied up in future tales? Do I care enough to find out?

Narrator spoke so slow it sounded as if she was either drunk or extremely bored.

Storyline was good, just hard to follow as most of the time the narrator was monotone and very slow.

Narrator was good, I could recognize the characters by the readers voice. Story was interesting!

newcomer

My sister started me on this new journey..I recently have eye issues so this is a great way of getting lost in a story. I love reading but I am sure I will get to love audible books just as much.

Scarpetta

I like that the readers.try to change their voices to match the characters BUT sometimes it doesn't quite make it. I'd rather the voices be from different people, esp if the reader wants to act it out.

Complexity

The narrator is Superb with the accents. The story is very interesting. The medical mixed with detective.

Scarpetta & Marino are back working the case

Another solid Scarpetta story. Moves fwd a bit in time with a new murder mystery to solve. All the favorite characters join Kay…Detective Marino, Lucy, & Benton. This was not as suspenseful as previous books. But overall, it was a good read. Narrated by Kate Reading who always does a great job acting out the story & using different voices for the many characters. Her Det. Marino voice is excellent & sounds just like CJ Critt, who narrated the 1st 10 Scarpetta books.

Need more action...but a compelling story.

I like this narrator. The story line was interesting and I like how Cornwell ties in Scarpetta's past. I'm glad Benton is back, Scarpetta was getting a little depressing without him.

I do wish there was more action, I know Scarpetta's getting older but we still got Lucy and gang. The end was a bit abrupt but I am glad Marino got some glory this time. Ready to get t9 the next one!
