This backstory, to echo another reviewer, fills in a lot of blanks especially about Zed.

The book is great but, too short. i would love to read all the story from these 2 characters.

amazing short story that gives you a peak at the end of the first daharan war just before the boundary went up. Surprisingly Zed is even MORE badass in his youth lol

Very interesting read. I liked the narrator very much he was very expressive with his voices. Good twist at the end.

Bags! This is a good prequel.

Would you listen to Debt of Bones again? Why?

Yes! This is a good prequel to the Sword of Truth Series. It is a bit short though. I would have loved to get to know more of the characters during that time. But, Zedd alone makes up for this. It was great to know the younger wizard.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Zedd! Bags! He is truly the Trickster!

What about Sam Tsoutsouvas’s performance did you like?

His performance was spot on!

Good, But not his best

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

While and excellent story over all and excellent at filling in some gaps that were evident from his other books it didn't quite live up to the full potential of his other books. Perhaps because we became used to the story revolving almost completely around Richard, and the other main characters, or maybe because he went away from the main story line to fill in the gaps. In either case if you can get away from the hang ups on what you expect from the other books an excellent selection. On a side note I love this narrator and wish all the books of the series was done by this gentleman. An excellent narrator and performer in my opinion none og the others seem to get me as involved in the book.

When Jenssen meets her brother for the first time, and realizes he is no like previous Lord Rhals.
