Kept My Attention

If you could sum up Flesh and Blood in three words, what would they be?

Suspense, drama, crime

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

The plot moved quickly, and there were often little cliffhangers at the end of the chapters.

The Story was Great, the reader Inappropriate.

I think I have listened to all the Scarpetta series books. Unfortunately, this last one was spoiled by the choice of readers. I am sure that Lorelei King is a great reader for some other types of books but nothing beats Kate Reading's interpretation of Scarpetta as a super intelligent woman at constant war with the inner darkness that keeps threatening to overwhelm her and at times succeeds. This character should not be portrayed by a bright lilting voice. It needs the voice of someone who understands the character of Kay Scarpetta and can get into her body and mind. Please switch back to Kate Reading for the next novel in the series.

Nobody Does Their Homework like Cornwall!

One of Cornwall's best ever! Ballistics were fascinating! Loved the interview with Cornwall at the end!

Great book

Another great Scarpetta story. I'm not crazy about the narrator. I would recommend going back to the previous narrators.

A Visit with a Friend

This isn't my favorite Scarpetta tale, but every story is like checking in with old friends, so I still enjoyed it. I really enjoyed Lorelei King's narration.

No Disappointment

Good read from the first sentence and kept my interest all the way through. End took me by surprise because it seemed to happen so fast but already looking forward to the next Kay Scarpetta adventure.

A poor narrator

Would you try another book from Patricia Cornwell and/or Lorelei King?

The narrator's sing song voice was very annoying. Often times her voice tone did notmatrch the tone of the writing.

Yes I can see it as a TV series but do not have any idea who should star in it.

I love Scarpetta

The book was full of turns and twists that I really really enjoyed. However, the ending was a little different and left me wondering what's going on. Like, is there going to be another book following this about the same suspect and so on and so on. Other than that great work and thanks

Loved It!

Enjoyed this story. Old evil characters come back that you wish really wouldn't. It seams that some people never die. I'm looking forward to the next book in the Kay Scarpetta series!
