Kept My Attention

If you could sum up Flesh and Blood in three words, what would they be?

Suspense, drama, crime

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

The plot moved quickly, and there were often little cliffhangers at the end of the chapters.

The Story was Great, the reader Inappropriate.

I think I have listened to all the Scarpetta series books. Unfortunately, this last one was spoiled by the choice of readers. I am sure that Lorelei King is a great reader for some other types of books but nothing beats Kate Reading's interpretation of Scarpetta as a super intelligent woman at constant war with the inner darkness that keeps threatening to overwhelm her and at times succeeds. This character should not be portrayed by a bright lilting voice. It needs the voice of someone who understands the character of Kay Scarpetta and can get into her body and mind. Please switch back to Kate Reading for the next novel in the series.

Nobody Does Their Homework like Cornwall!

One of Cornwall's best ever! Ballistics were fascinating! Loved the interview with Cornwall at the end!

Great book

Another great Scarpetta story. I'm not crazy about the narrator. I would recommend going back to the previous narrators.
