Another Fantastic book in the series

Loved it. Finished it in 2 days. Now I have to wait a year for the next one, it's going to be a long year.

Love the Series!

I'm a huge fan of the Destiny's Crucible series and was thrilled to see the story progress past book 4 and what seemed like a natural conclusion to the tale. While still retaining top shelf writing and an awesome new world of people (other than Earth), I found book 6 to drag along with painfully long periods of trekking in the wild while omitting my favorite aspects of the book, namely employing futurist knowledge to a less developed society and watching the MC earn the respect and support of those around them. The majority of Passages is the main character never staying in one place long enough for any significance to take hold. Book 6 felt like a very long setup to book 7 where I expect significant and exciting inventions and extraordinary political will. I remain a big fan of the series!

Another great addition to the series

I absolutely loved this audio series, Thorensen is second to none in delivering amazing worlds in great detail and every single book I listened to within a few days it was so engaging. I can't wait for the next it will be purchased pre order for sure.

Go back to book 1. Take out Joseph, plug in Mark. Same same. That said, the rest of the story moves along fairly well; Mark and party wind up on Caedellium after crossing half of Anyar (the half with land), spurred on by Narthani, picking up another castaway en route. There are new elements to the plot, and one does have hope for more geopolitical interactions going forward. Please, Olin, leave out the descriptions of sex and bathroom habits; they are gratuitous and do not contribute anything valuable to the story.

Another great installment in a fantastic series

Passages is the icing on the cake in this great series, I savoured this book not wanting it to end ,The author does a great job painting the main characters journey across these different lands and oceans , the only problem with this story is I have to wait for the next chapter to begin when it's written

Awesome world building

Not gonna lie, was kind of lost on the other nations in the first couple books. This one helps to clear that up and breathes significant life into each! Plus that cliff hanger killed me

Great read

I very much enjoy this entire series. After taking one character to what I thought was the end of his story and the series. Mr. Thorensen has shaken the world up with new characters and a whole new storyline. Every book leaves you wanting the next one. I feel like I live in this world he paints it so well.

Finally got going

After reading some reviews I too felt the story was a rehash of Book1. But once you get past the similar origen the story becomes mose interesting. Mark certainly is a good guy in a bad spot. He soon finds himself on the run and picks up companions in his flight. We find out more about the peoples of Angyar and they story continues through various tribulations. Will they ever get to Caedelium?
