Publisher's summary

Narrated by Scott Eastwood and Andi Arndt, a sweeping, second chance romance that weaves mystery, passion, and humor as two present-day lovers search for a love story from the past....

Past loves should stay in the past.

After the way my first love took off for the ends of the earth, the last thing I want is to see him on billboards and bookstore bestseller shelves. Now my boss just handed me the project that could make my career. All I have to do is partner up with the man, the myth, the legend - adventurer Hunter Armstrong.

That's easier said than done, because when we reconnect, I learn Hunter has his own agenda on this project. And it's not to find a treasure in art and antiques. It's me. But what we discover shocks both of us, and we have no choice but to follow the clues....

P.S. It’s Always Been You: Part 1 is the first installment in the P.S. It's Always Been You serial novel. Presley and Hunter’s story continues in P.S. It's Always Been You: Part 2.

P.S. Great Listen

The blending of Scott's and Andi's voice is amazing. I cannot wait for the next two parts. Their voices just pulled me into the story. A great second chance romance. Wish it was longer.

SCOT EASTWOOD ROCKS

Wow Scott as a narrator was awesome. He fits this book perfect. I wasn’t expecting that at all. This duel work great together. The story it self was great. Love second chance romance. And now a trilogy. Can’t wait to hear the next ones

Super cute

Loved this short sweet romance and can not wait to get to the other parts of this story to see if our duo gets back together and if there really is buried treasure to be found!

Nice start

This is the first book I've dived into from Lauren Blakely in a whlie. I don't know why I haven't checked out her books in a while, but I figured might as well try this one. It's a fun, flirty, and a bit serious story. There is 3 parts to this story so this one will be a cliffy for those who don't like that - heads up!

I am still on the fence to whether or not I liked Scott's narration. It wasn't horrible, but then again it wasn't great. Andi is great as usual. I'm hoping Scott does more but maybe practices some before doing it again, it would be nice to have him be a regular.

Amazingly interesting

I couldn’t put the book down. Short and perfect. Exciting. I wish there was an end though.

Nah

The writing style is unsophisticated. The choice of first person present tense is clunky. I am not opposed to curse words in general, but their inclusion here is undignified. I don't need "AF," "sucks balls," "effer-f*cking-vescent, "fresh as a goddamn daisy," and the coup de grâce, "peen," in my reading. I sometimes read light romance because it's less stressful on my nervous system, but even in that genre, the quality of the writing should be equal to the professional production quality.

The heroine(s): Presley - ten years ago she was in love with Hunter. They daydreamed about living on vacation in the tropics. Since then Presley becomes an archery markswoman and an art historian who writes a book about the most famous art forgery’s. However, her book didn’t sell and she isn’t feeling too great about her life.

The Hero(s): Hunter - he fell in love with Presley after a stint in the military, but had hopes for his future. He is an adventurer and wants to travel the world. When he gets a job offer leading several long expeditions for a billionaire who wants to remain nameless, Hunter leaves Presley and goes off to begin his new life.

The Story: Hunter left Presley to start a mysterious job with a secretive billionaire. Years later he becomes famous for saving that man on one of the highest mountains in the world. Soon after that he is starring in his own popular adventure series and has written more than one best sellers on his experiences. Presley can’t seem to get away from him even though he is a world away living the life of action and extreme sports.

When Presley is offered the opportunity of a lifetime she is hard pressed to refuse. Finding out that the person hired to work for her is none other than Hunter is not exactly good news to Presley. This series seems to have a great premise and a lot of places to go from here.

The narration was done by Scott Eastwood (*Swoon), and Andi Arndt. I love Andi Arndt, who always gives a stellar performance. She sounds intelligent and has nice rhythm. Scott Eastwood does a great job, though you can tell he isn’t as used to being a book narrator as some of the other narrators that do this for a living. I’m sure if he does a few more he can get better at cadence, tempo and inflection for book narration. However, I have to admit he is a hottie and it is nice to be able to put a face like that to the character like this. Overall I really enjoyed it and hope he does more in the future!

Need it to be more

Scott Eastwood was a big draw to this story, but his stilted narration is taking me out of the story. Not to mention that this story just starts getting interesting and it's over. I'm willing to listen to the next part, but I really hope there is some more meat to this story or I may forego the third installment.
