Publisher's Summary

Blake Walker left behind the ATF when the drug cartel he was hunting cost him the life of his fellow agent, and fiancée. Now, two years later, he's working with his brother at Walker Security, but he's living fast, hard, and wild - until he reaches the ultimate high: revenge. And he's close, so close he can taste it. He's one meeting, one woman away from being inside one of the money laundering shells the cartel operates. One Woman. One dangerously hot night.

Definitely a step up in this series

Overall opinion: 3.75 Stars

Good storyline that was saved by being short and direct. Lauren is an in your head writer so always expect more head banter than actual communication.

The H was the typical dominant male with a soft side and possessive streak while the h was something else. This book is definitely made to give you a taste of what is to come.

kind of undecided on this one

This was a brief prequel to "Beneath the Secrets" which is the story of the third brother in the Walker Security trio. While it was a well portrayed slice of life moment, I can't tell how necessary it was or how much it did/didn't add to the entire arc of the story until I actually complete the next book featuring Blake's story. So I guess my final conclusion is if you've got an extra half hour and the escape package, go ahead and give it a listen. Otherwise I can't say it was worth an actual credit.

One Dangerous Night

Blake goes undercover and after a night with a beautiful woman he wakes naked and sick after being drugged. The list is missing and so is the woman he was with and when he leaves he and Kyle find out the woman he was supposed to meet was actually tied up. Now he is on the hunt for the woman who left him in the hotel room. Oh, what a great way to start the next book in this series!

Great prelude!

I’ve read a lot of books with Blake as a side character, so now I need to get his story. This is a very short prelude to his book. I’m intrigued by how they met and it left off at a really good point to get a reader motivated to grab up the next in the series.

This is a tease preview for Blake’s story

Very short beginning of a plot but should have been chapter 1 of Blake Walker’s story.

A hot prelude!

I am so glad I listened to this book first, I know without it there is a little history that we don't get! This first meeting of Blake and Tiffany is incredibly hot, leaves you so many questions and the suspense is high! There is a little preview of why Blake has become who he is, but so many questions about Tiffany are left unanswered, it's a must to listen to the next book. Eric Michael Summerer narrates this short, leaving us wanting more!

who is the mystery girl

Blake finds himself chasing a lead. He just never expected to be someone else's lead. The fire between the two strangers was hot. This quick was an introduction to the next step in Blake's life.

Enticing Prelude

This is a great lead into Blake's story. It was full of lust and intrigue. Lisa does a great job of capturing your imagination and drawing you into the story. The narrators voice draws you in. I am loving this series via audio
