Wall Street meets the Sons of Anarchy in Hard Rules, the smoldering, scorching first audiobook in the explosively sexy new Dirty Money series from New York Times bestselling author Lisa Renee Jones.
How bad do you want it?
The only man within the Brandon empire with a moral compass, Shane Brandon is ready to take his family’s business dealings legitimate. His reckless and ruthless brother, Derek, wants to keep Brandon Enterprises cemented in lies, deceit, and corruption. But the harder Shane fights to pull the company back into the light, the darker he has to become. Then he meets Emily Stevens, a woman who not only stirs a voracious sexual need in him, but becomes the only thing anchoring him between good and evil.
Emily is consumed by Shane, pushed sexually in ways she never dreamed of, falling deeper into the all-encompassing passion that is this man. She trusts him. He trusts her, but therein lies the danger. Emily has a secret, the very thing that brought her to him in the first place, and that secret could destroy them both.

Now how does this woman keep producing epic novels?
No clue! But I surely buy and read every single one.
“Man Hard Rules” is a fast-paced new series.

Shane is a successful lawyer. His father is head of a Mafioso and he's dying. Shane wants to legitimize the business while his brother, Derek, wants to take it deeper into crime. Then there's Shane's mother who meddles on both sides to benefit her own agenda.
Emily is on the run. New city, new job, new identity. There's no hints or clues as to what she's running from.
Shane and Emily meet in a coffee shop where they have insta attraction and leave with each other's coffee. Next time they meet Shane asks her to dinner and from there a one night stand. Shane starts thinking he wants more than a one night stand with Emily.
Here starts the good stuff....Turns out Emily's new job is the assistant to Shane's dad. She isn't aware of the family-tie. Since Shane's dad goes thru an assistant a week, Shane had not met Emily in that role. When Shane and Emily realize their connection, Shane accusses her of spying for his dad. This is their story.....
This story kept me intrigued from page one. There's not a lot of inner dialogue or retieration which are two pet peeves of mine. Emily is a strong female lead which really makes me wonder why she's on the run.
The second book Damage Control is now out so I don't have to worry about the cliffhanger.
Grace Grant's performance. A couple of her male voices were to slow. I think this is more the producers doing. I have many books performed by Grace that don't have this issue.
Jeremy York's performance was spot on as usual.
Worth a Credit/$$ Absolutely
