Publisher's Summary

When Bill O'Reilly interviewed then-Senator Barack Obama during the 2008 Presidential elections, the two had a lively debate about the nation's future.

Since that time, America has changed rapidly - some would even say seismically - and many believe these shifts are doing more than just rocking the political and social climate; they're rocking the American core.

In his latest spirited book, O'Reilly prompts further debate with the president and the American people on the current state of the union. While the changes that took place in America during President Obama's first 18 months in office are dizzying to just think about, their real-life impact on the average American is a helluva lot stronger than that. Tempers have reached the boiling point over the shifts in health care, immigration, national security, energy, and the environment. And then there's the economy.

O'Reilly sorts it all out with his trademark mix of humor and bluster in his most impassioned book to date. This is just the book to guide you through the most important issues of the midterm elections and beyond.

What made the experience of listening to Pinheads and Patriots the most enjoyable?

I really enjoy when an author narrates their own book. Only the author can convey their thoughts and ideas 100% accurately through their voice. O'Reilly conveys passion, sarcasm, sympathy and seriousness in all the right ways that are easy to understand while riding or listening.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No, not necessarily. Too much politics in one sitting is exhausting.

    Any additional comments?

Bill O'Reilly honestly surprised me. I had not been an avid watcher of his show, but through this book I realized how fair Bill really tries to be. He genuinely likes the president and like a true gentleman, respectfully disagrees with the president's points, but not all his points. Bill takes you through Pinheads and Patriots and helps us all to realize that we're all pinheads at one point or another. It's not a permanent label.

    "Have you seen the show?"

If you watch the show somewhat faithfully then you have already heard about 3/4 of this book. If you like O'Reilly then you will love this book and you probably aren't concerned about my review. If you like Bill O'Reilly and haven't a chance to watch the show, you'll love the book. It's really very much about Bill O'Reilly and his approach to political ethics commentary, how it applies, and a bit about how his method was developed.

This is a good read and fun. I did not get any great revelations or super new knowledge from this, but the book was a quick read and held my interest.

    "Nobody's Perfect - You Decide"
If you could sum up Pinheads and Patriots in three words, what would they be?

    Thought-provoking, clear, pointed

What does Bill O'Reilly bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The nuances of language and the subtleties of intonation and inferred meanings

If you could give Pinheads and Patriots a new subtitle, what would it be?

    Nobody's Perfect - You Decide

    Any additional comments?

O'Reilly leaves little doubt about how he feels. I can't say I always agree with him, but I also know where he stands on the issues.

"Like the Factor - his opinions"

O'reilly hits the main points but offers the same overbearing approach he uses in his television program. He is always right and never admits an error. Nevertheless, I agreed with his opinions - otherwise I could not watch the factor or read his books.

Is very hard, to know what's really happening. There's the far right and far left, but after listening to your book I realize that you are independent, So I enjoy listening to you because I trust you. I believe you give the most levelheaded View on what's really going on in the world/America. Thank you

"Every Pinhead in America needs to read this booik"

Very informative, thought provoking and the research is quite good regarding historical figures who have made good and bad impacts on America. I would have rated Eisenhower a PARTIAL "Pinhead" for his dealing with Francis Gary Powers and the U-2 incident over Russia. That was the first time I lost faith in my President and in my country when they (IKE) LIED to all Americans and then had to admit his error! O'Rielly is great however and his book is true to form. Wish I had read it earlier. Have read all his "killing" books which he and Dugard continue to impress with their work!

"Hit It Out Of The Ballpark"

Whenever Bill reads his own books, he becomes an Irish Fable Gnome full of all the Irish blood and humor in telling his tales. This book falls into a category to where it is impossible not to enjoy. I hope Bill rethinks this notion in letting other commentators read his books.
This is a hodgepodge type of book where Bill takes aim at politicians and celebrators alike and agreed with him most of the time especially so, with Marylyn Monroe and Gen. Patton. Bill is streetwise and this adds dimensions to stories that I really adore, and facts that I did not know.
He is the kind of guy you wish you knew personally only because of his humanity and the Holy Spirit that surely shines bright from within a Boston kid years ago in another place, another time, and as the world changes, another life itself.

Seems like a long version of the factor talking points. But I enjoy Bill and I enjoy the talking points on his show so I enjoyed this book. Plus I learned a lot about history in a very entertaining way.

    "I think I'll listen again..."

Sometimes I have to roll my eyes (even driving alone) with how conceded he is but the man tells a good story, has the gumption to tell it like he sees it, and doesn't back down. I like that he believes in America, believes America is an exceptional country that provides the rest of the world with the hope of freedom. In this book, he reasons through a 2008 interview with President Obama as well as campaign promises to illustrate where he went wrong and also what he did right. He talks about a number of other influential people, their impacts on our country, and his take on whether those impacts have been positive or negative. He throws in a lot of humor, interesting anecdotes, and logical insights.

Hey, I like Bill, I like what he does, I like his reason, I find him interesting and informative; I've read all of his books except "Culture Warriors." I like that he reads it himself and think it is a quick listen - highly recommend it!
