Clay just wants to get home. Six years ago, he moved to New York City after his wife and daughters were killed in a horrible automobile accident, and now, the day after Hurricane Sandy devastates the city and the tri-state area, Clay sets out on foot to escape both the city, and the prison of his old life there. What Clay discovers on his epic walk to freedom, will change everything...for everyone...forever.
The Cold War is about to get Hot, and sometimes just saying 'NO' is a revolutionary act...
I read the kindle version of this book (and series) and loved it. The Audible version is horrible! Daniel Dorse comes across as a monotone, expressionless robot. I could not even finish the book! I love the Wick series and Michael Bunker's writings but the choice of this narrator was a BIG mistake. I have listened to hundreds of books as I travel the nation's highways AND have done narration for short stories, videos, and commercials since 1975. I know about good voices and reaching an audience. This "narrator" will turn people off an otherwise GREAT book.
Please buy and enjoy the book. It IS worth it. Don't get this audible version until they get a different voice.
