Just outside Los Angeles, a prisoner hidden away for 70 years sits up, gets off the bed and disappears through a solid wall.

In Australia, a magician impresses audiences by producing real elephants. Nobody realizes it's not an illusion.

Across the world, individuals and ancient organizations with supernatural power suddenly detect the presence of something even they can't understand.

At the center of it all, Seb Varden, a 32-year old musician with a secret in his past, slits his wrists, is shot dead and run over on the freeway. He's had better days.

Seb is about to discover the universe is a far more complicated place than he'd ever imagined.

Meh.
Like Push, but less creative. It’s not sci fi, nor is it urban fantasy. It’ fits squarely into “paranormal” and the protagonist, contra his youth, is a wannabe pacifist.
Given his power set, I can think of multiple ways to defeat his main antagonist, whose motivations are similarly banal.

Uninspired

What did you love best about The World Walker?

My favorite part was how the World was crafted. It has many believable tangents to reality but it also expands on so many interesting things and eludes to so much more that i couldn't help but be lost in all the possibilities that may come to pass.

What about Todd Boyce’s performance did you like?

I really liked the way he brought life to the characters. He doesn't have the best range or variety I've heard but he is no doubt up there. I could very clearly distinguish who was talking.
He also did a good job at expression the various emotions the characters go through. There was never any confusion with what people were suppose to be feeling with him at the helm.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The very beginning of this book was very deep. It shows a cruel reality that many people have to face.

Within the first chapter Ian W. Sainsbury had me 100% invested in Seb. The way he introduced Sebs character makes it so that you can't help but root for him and hate everyone who is chasing after him.

Any additional comments?

This is a good book to read and more than that it is a good series to invest in.
The series have 4 books and the first 3 a really enjoyed, the 4th i have not read yet but i have the assumption that it will be just as good as the first 3.

The story was intriguing but slow to action. I wanted more action but received lots of inaction. The main character could of been developed more.

intriguing
