Publisher's Summary

Zach Adams is one of the best detectives in the country. Nicknamed Cowboy, he serves on a federal task force that has a single mission: to hunt down Dominic Abend, a European gangster.

After a brutal murder gives them a lead, Zach feels like he's finally on Abend's trail. But things get complicated and very, very weird. Zach is beginning to suspect that Abend's evil goes beyond crime - perhaps to the edge of the supernatural.

In a centuries-old forest under a full moon, a beast assaults him, cursing him forever. In the aftermath Zach is transformed into something horrible - something deadly. Now the good cop has innocent blood on his hands. He has killed - and he will kill again - in the form of a beast that can't be controlled or stopped.

It's not about the fall, but the recovery.

Werewolf Cop is the story of a detective trying to bring down a villain who's larger than life while both the detective's personal world and the world at large are burning down around him. His determination and conviction are balanced against his shame and pride to steer him down a path that will change him forever.

Andrew Klavan, as author and narrator, brings this fantastic story to life. The story is well written, engaging, comical, and thought provoking. Some of the most personal struggles a man can face are addressed in a frank manner that emphasizes the plot rather than seeming to preach. Characters are a fantastic blend of fitting a stereotype on the surface, but still having depth that makes them real and unique. The pacing carries the story phenomenally well, but may make the book a bit too hard to put down at times.

Even a good man can make a mistake. It's not the lack of mistakes that makes him good. Rather, it's what he does afterward that determines the quality of his character. Everyone is flawed. With faith, those flaws can be overcome.

All Hail KLVN

The great and mighty KLVN never disappoints, this is a great book. The title is applicable but seems silly at first.

Best in moral fantasy since CS Lewis!

This is the first book by Mr. Klavan that I have read and I cannot wait to take in all the rest of his bibliography!! What a great introduction to his writing!
The story started out a little slow, film-noir style, but quickly developed into a "movie in your head" type thriller, demanding your full attention. A bit predictable at times, but nonetheless gripping and powerful, it tied together undeniable modern-day evils with timeless human strivings, pushing through towards faith, hope and goodness. A good vs evil yarn presented in a unique new light. This is definitely one I will remember and revisit. Bravo, Klavan!

Klaven did a great job bring the story off the pages. The cop really had a great view on life. Klaven did a great job.

Surprisingly Addictive Tale

The author takes a fantastic story and makes you ride it all the way to the end. I was hooked at the first chapter and suspended disbelief without notice. Great story.

Great bit of story telling!

If you could sum up Werewolf Cop in three words, what would they be?

Scary, Heart pounding

What about Andrew Klavan’s performance did you like?

He was great!

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

A hairy, blood spattered tail of good and evil

Any additional comments?

Great book

I thought I would try something different

Unfortunately- It didn’t work out.

The narrator is not that good - Well spoken - But I can’t relate his voice to any character.

The story doesn’t unfold in a way that I enjoy..

I don’t know how to say what I am trying to say about this book.

I am really surprised by the good reviews.
