Intriguing
This debut novel was extremely intriguing, especially if you enjoy your mysteries with a bit of the occult.
This book reminds me of Sherlock Holmes with a bit of Harry Dresden mixed in.
I'm a bit addicted and plan on following the series along. I will be impatiently following this series.
I wonder if Midnight ever discovers what he is.......

The Hollows
What a great listen! Helen did an amazing job telling this story and I just LOVE her accent! Now on to the book itself. I really enjoyed this story and to see Midnight solve such a mystery as well as grow himself. He learns a few valuable life lessons in here that can be learned from many. Such a happy ending, but it leaves you wanting more (not in a cliffhanger way, just in a I want more way). I will be looking for another Midnight book to see where his life leads him next.

Sherlock Holmes with a mix of magic, I absolutely loved it!!
Midnight Gunn is a great character and makes for a perfect mystery novel.
The Hollows is well written and original, the audiobook is extremely enjoyable to listen to and I can't wait for more!!

Pure awesomeness
I loved the story the twists turns and suspense. The story just pulls you in and the audio version is amazing the narrator nailed it. I loved how she brought the characters to you as you listened to it. I highly recommend both the book and the audio, I freaking loved both.

Great PN crime/mystery novel!
Took me a bit to get into this as I am used to PNR, but once I did, I like it. Great storyline and mystery. A wealthy man born as a demon/angel. He helps investigate a demonic killer on the loose and in the process saves an orphaned child he comes to love as his own. Ready to read the next book in series to see what happens next! Great mind C.L. Monaghan!!!

Harvesting souls...
I loved this book!! PRN hottie, Midnight Gunn, was born during a solar eclipse and Hayley’s comet passing and has been gifted with both healing powers & being able to see inside minds. He has helped Arthur Gredge, of Scotland Yard in several cases and has been summoned again. This new case appears to be of the paranormal nature. Gunn rescues an orphan girl who had been attacked and heals her and becomes her legal guardian. As Gunn and Gredge race against the clock to catch a deranged killer, who is harvesting souls, will they do so before one of them is harmed? This is a fast paced PRN story w lots of excitement and intrigue...there is an HEA but is it truly over??

The Hollows
Where can I get the movie version of this book? This was good and it had me thinking of all the British mysteries I love. Someone please contact Netflix and tell them to make this into a series. Midnight Gunn has become one of my favorite male characters and I hope there are more books to come with him and Polly. I also hope the author gives him a love interest, he deserves it.
Now, I have to tell you that the narration was as good as the story. The narrator captured all the characters' nuances, quirks and personalities. It is always a pleasure to listen to an audio book that has excellent narration because the experience becomes more than someone just reading a book to you. A good narrator makes the listener feel like they are in the story and experiencing everything the characters are experiencing. Kudos to Helen Taylor for making Gunn come to life for me, and kudos to C L Monaghan for a brilliant story.

I really liked this one!
Great story!! Very different from anything I’ve read so far in the historical fiction genre. I didn’t want to put it down. The ending kept me on the edge of seat.
I thought Helen Taylor did a good job of narrating the story.
Can’t wait for the next one!
