THE FIRST NOVEL IN LEE CHILD'S #1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLING JACK REACHER SERIES—NOW AN ORIGINAL SERIES ON PRIME VIDEO!

“From its jolting opening scene to its fiery final confrontation, Killing Floor is irresistible.”—People

Ex-military policeman Jack Reacher is a drifter. He’s just passing through Margrave, Georgia, and in less than an hour, he’s arrested for murder. Not much of a welcome. All Reacher knows is that he didn’t kill anybody. At least not here. Not lately. But he doesn’t stand a chance of convincing anyone. Not in Margrave, Georgia. Not a chance in hell.

“Combines high suspense with almost nonstop action. Reacher is a wonderfully epic hero: tough, taciturn, yet vulnerable.” (People)

“Great style and careful plotting. The violence is brutal...depicted with the kind of detail that builds dread and suspense.” (The New York Times)

A lot better than I expected.

I don't typically like these kinds of books. I usually have an aversion to bigger than Life characters who seem to be so good at everything that they do; ex-military baddass becomes drifter with nothing to lose.

That said, this book was really good. I had seen the movies years ago and was intrigued enough to try the book (s). I am happy to report that the movie is only loosely based on the character. I enjoy discovering everything about this character and all the things he was capable of. I don't really know what this genre is called but this is clearly the cream of the crop when it comes to it.

Suprisingly very good

I was not expecting this book to be so well done. I had heard others speak of the Jack Reacher series and had even attempted one at one time and decide it was not for me. The TV series based on this book and character intrigued me so I read this book before watching it. Glad I did and I am now hooked. Already on book 5.
Every guy wants to be Reacher and every woman wants him to be hers.

The Jack Reacher series is awesome!

I love the Jack Reacher series by Lee Child, the stories are gripping, well thought out, and most importantly they keep me coming back for more! The narrator is much older than the Reacher character and you can tell the story is being read by an old guy, although he does many of the other characters really well (except the white female voices), it's just a hard sell with regards to Reacher. I got used to the voice and accepted it for what it is, because I noticed the same man narrates many more of Child's books and I want to listen to them. The story starts off the series and gives you a great background for Reacher, although some of it isn't very accurate in regard to Reacher's Army background, I'm an Army veteran and could tell where the holes are, but I believe overall it's convincing enough to the average person. I look forward to listening to the next book!

Ron McLarty where are you!!!!

I am sorry but the performance was really bad!! I almost gave up but decided to finish. The story was very good but I wish I had just read the book to myself!
Sorry Dick but that was awful...
This book needs a Ron McLarty or Ray Porter or Kyf Brewer!!!

another wild ride!

Good narration. Story had enough turns to keep you interested. Jack Reacher isnt afraid of anything, except settling down. Maybe someday he'll meet a kindred wanderer like himself.
