Publisher's Summary

"Make some coffee. You'll read all night." Lee Child, number one New York Times best-selling author of the Jack Reacher thrillers, gives Diane Capri and her new Hunt for Jack Reacher Series two thumbs up!

Jack Reacher: Friend or Enemy? FBI Special Agent Kim Otto doesn't know what she doesn't know....

It’s been a while since we first met Lee Child’s Jack Reacher in Killing Floor.

Fifteen years and 20 novels later, Reacher still lives off the grid, until trouble finds him, and then he does whatever it takes, much to the delight of readers and listeners and the dismay of villains.

Now someone big is looking for him. Who? And why?

Hunting Jack Reacher is a dangerous business, as FBI Special Agents Kim Otto and Carlos Gaspar are about to find out.

Otto and Gaspar are by-the-book hunters who know when to break the rules; Reacher is a wanted man, and a stone cold killer when things get personal.

But is he friend or enemy? Armed with disinformation, they intend to find out. Only the secrets hidden in Margrave, Georgia, will tell them.

New York Times and USA Today best-selling author Diane Capri brings her insider knowledge to bear on her friend Lee Child's iconic character. The Hunt for Jack Reacher begins here. Have you joined the hunt yet?

"Full of thrills and tension, but smart and human, too. Kim Otto is a great, great character - I love her." (Lee Child, number one worldwide best-selling author of the Jack Reacher thrillers)

What a disappointment

I am surprised and disappointed that audible would sell this lousy story. The reference to Reacher seems like a cheap trick to induce you to buy the book. Don’t waste your time or money on it.

Not Reacher!

Boring book that never did make a more than cursory attempt to bring Jack Reacher into the book. Almost quite listening several time...should have followed my instincts!

It was a letdown for me.

I liked the concept, but did not like the narration. It is very possible a different presentation would have made this much better.

Kind of disappointing

Not a horrible story, not worth the credit spent on it. The story is poorly executed and does not flow well. The choice in narrator was very wrong and probably lead to the overall discontent. His performance was dry and uninteresting. The characters not well executed, not worth get attached too, there interactions felt forced, got to the point you didn't care if they won or lost. Getting to see what happened to the characters we got to know and got attached to from the Killing Field was the only redemption this book had.

Not Lee Child…

After just finishing all 26 Lee Child/Jack Reacher books, this spin-off Jack Reacher story was not quite the same caliber as Lee Childs writing. Capri’s story was fine, but I longed for the crafting of words and descriptions that Child masters in his novels.

What about Jack Reacher?

Why even mention him let alone blame him for everything when he had nothing to do in the book. I feel like I got ripped off and was wondering why Jack Reacher wasn’t in the book. Oh excuse me, he was in the book because he was blamed for everything.

Great title, lousy book

Slow, uninteresting book with awful narration. The characters act in unbelievable ways. The awful narration gets in the way of boring story.

Interesting Concept thoroughly entertaining

after reading the entire Jack reacher series or listening I should say I've been struggling to find another series and I've seen this one through the years I've been getting the audiobooks for Lee child not sure what it was about

what a very interesting concept to take a story written by someone else and add to it it was enjoyable it was thoroughly enjoyable makes me want to check the other books out to see if their paths ever crossed Jack reacher's and Kim Otto's

story is very entertaining pace is very good it was enjoyable to listen to I do recommend

Hated it

Nothing like what I expected. Couldn’t make it through. I couldn’t even remember why the story went where it did, it was sooo cumbersome getting there. I stopped before the book ended ( something I NEVER do). If you like Jack Reacher don’t read this, it will sour you to the character.

Enjoyable

It’s no Reacher book ! But it’s ok and having read the original Reacher book it did make sense.so I think if you are well versed in The Reacher storyline you will enjoy it.

Do or Die

Great idea for a book, the narration was super but the storyline was too detailed in places losing the audience. For me there was not enough ‘Reacher’ time, as a fan of Jack Reacher series this is why I purchased the book.. That said I will try the second instalment as I want the story to do well. The author has done a fantastic job on the main character with numerous possibilities for her character to develop .. Looking forward to the follow up..

A cheat, piggybacking off Our Jack

Trust me, utter garbage. What a deception, by adding Jack Reacher in to the title she’s duping you into believing this is connected to JR, it’s not and as such the story holds little substance.

Great story follow up books are silly expensive

Great story. Although I WOULDN'T recommend as the first book is average length and price to draw you in and follow up books are just an hour long at over £5 each ....... over priced for what you get. Shame because the story is good.

Great idea for a series

Creaked a bit. Was getting comfortable with the main characters, but found the narrator sounded almost robotic at times. Decided to call it a day when I discovered that the next two "books" are just short stories.

disappointing

Rambling and fairly pointless story, with loose ends left untied.
I hope the next one is better.

Enjoyable read

Enjoyed the listen, narration is good, characters are likable, it's not Lee Child, but we'll worth a listen if you enjoy his books. Not longed listened to The Killing Floor, so events from that still fresh, as storyline goes back over the events of 97 in Margrave.
