Publisher's Summary

Jack Reacher visits a town without pity in the first novel in Lee Child's New York Times best-selling series.

Ex-military policeman Jack Reacher is a drifter. He's just passing through Margrave, Georgia, and in less than an hour, he's arrested for murder. Not much of a welcome. All Reacher knows is that he didn't kill anybody. At least not here. Not lately. But he doesn't stand a chance of convincing anyone. Not in Margrave, Georgia. Not a chance in hell.

"Good story, but the narrator is a bit annoying"

I enjoyed the story but was annoyed by the narrator's voice and the loud noise he made when he inhaled. He drew breath constantly. It almost sounded like talking is a great effort for him. That is probably why some reviews said he sounded like 70 yo.

    "Solid but not exceptional "

This kept my attention and overall I enjoyed it. That's a fairly low bar, however. The book isn't written especially well...jam packed with implausibility and clumsy formulaic writing.

    "Great story well told. "

Lee Child has a great character in Jack Reacher. Dick Hill has a classic delivery. I'll read more.

"It's just a fun listen with a great narrator"

I picked up Killing Floor after seeing the first Jack Reacher movie. Like the movie, the character is what pulls you in. Child does an amazing job describing the environment, allowing you to understand exactly what world that Jack exists in, and Hill does an astounding job as the narrator. At the end of the day, however, it's Jack that you're going to fall in love with, especially his slow approach to everything, but jumping to action quickly when needed.

"Voice actings Great. Story is... meh. "

Great voice acting but the story was a bit obvious for a detective narrative. Worth a credit and a listen but wouldn't tell someone to go out of their way to get it.

"Ok but need better narration "

Ok story, Tom Cruise is not Jack Reacher....lol narrator sounds out of breath the whole time and had limited range of voice variation.
