Publisher's Summary

The explosive conclusion to the New York Times best-selling series.

In Dalton Fury's Execute Authority, Kolt "Racer" Raynor and his Delta Force squadron are in Greece, providing VIP security for the newly elected - and deeply controversial - American president on his desperate mission to hold the NATO alliance together.

Then, the unimaginable happens. Just as the president is arriving, an assassin's bullet takes the life of the Greek prime minister. The president is safe, but Raynor recognizes the killer - Rasim Miric - by his grisly signature: a bullet through his target's left eye.

The hunt for the assassin ends when Miric, to all appearances, blows himself up in an explosion that levels an apartment block, but Raynor refuses to accept that the sniper is really dead. Miric's grudge is with America, and one American in particular - the Delta Force operator who cost him an eye, Kolt Raynor. Raynor believes that Miric's killing spree is only just beginning, and his suspicions are proved true when Miric is photographed crossing the border into the United States.

Forbidden by law from operating on American soil, Raynor will have to bend the rules until they break, risking everything in order to run the assassin down before he can strike again.

But what Raynor doesn't realize is that Rasim Miric is also hunting him.

Book 5 in Dalton Fury's Delta Force/Kolt Raynor...

...series. This series is an adrenaline junkie's dream! It is a combination of military thriller and espionage thriller with lots of action and intense suspense. Protagonist Lieutenant Colonel Kolt Raynor plays by the rules; it's true rules are his rather than those of the US Army. He seems to always be in trouble with Army brass. In Execute Authority he struggles to protect the US president from Serbian sniper assassin Rasim Miric who is a man he has dealt with in the past and who holds a deadly grudge because Raynor destroyed his left eye. Miric is determined to kill Raynor. Ari Fliakos Has narrated all 5 novels in the series. Like all novels in the series Execute Authority is a great listen.

Sad to see it wrapped up

Dalton Fury's series is one of the most underrated but along with Mark Greaney's Grey Man and Ben Coes' Dewey Andreas has absolutely the best military thriller series out there. This was another win and Fliakos is great as the voice of Colt. What's next Mr. Fury?

Learn the Lingo!

Great story, and overall 5 stars. My only complaint is for the narrator to become familar with military lingo. Some military words are mis pronounced or spelled out instead of saying them how they are used in the community.

story is somewhat bland.

story is pretty much as the rest however, you can tell the outcome from the beginning. small twist at the end but nothing exciting. I love the series and characters but this book is not as good as the rest. Please, Dalton, change it up.

Good Book

I like the whole series and re-listen to them from time to time. The only flaw is that the protagonist is a little too "maverick." It gets a silly from time to time, especially when his underlings have to reign him in.

I really enjoyed this book.

well written and the story was as good as the previous books. The only drawback was the narrator, who doesn't know his military acronyms and this made the story a bit less captivating for me. I felt like correcting him whenever he screwed up 556 (five five six), not five fifty-six or SCIF, not spelled out.

but I have been anxiously awaiting this latest book and I'm not disappointed. Now, where is book the next one?!

Good but short

Too short. Cookie cutter but entertaining while it lasted. Would buy again but not for full price.
