I loved the characters, the cafe, and the twisted discovery of the one who killer a corpse. A beginning if a romance was th cherry on the top of the cupcake. The reader was perfect.

The main xharacter is very likable. The book has,a perfect balance,-not too intense but definitely kept me intrigued. I looked forward to each time I got to listen to it.

Simplistic

Everything goes perfectly for Fran. A guy who pays for all date meals out, a dog who finds her, Only one ridiculous amateur detective mistake.
Not very interesting.

Just Don’t Pay For It

I was enjoying the part of the story watching her and Matt’s friendship strengthen. But other than those two I felt the other characters were rather bland and the story as a whole was not exactly riveting. Minus a “story” star for that. The ending happened so quickly I had to go back and read that chapter again to remember who the guilty person was and why. They had hardly been mentioned in the entire story. Minus a “story” star for that. Her sleuthing skills were pretty lame. The dog was sweet. So, I guess in the end I was disappointed, feeling like I was shortchanged.

The narrator did an excellent reading. Her voice was pleasant, she read at the perfect speed and didn’t give the men stupid wimpy voices. I would definitely read other books narrated by her. Five stars for her great performance.

Would I recommend this book? Only if you can get it free.

Cute Read

Cute cook! The characters are lovable, the plot pacing is great. With just a sprinkle of romance. Narrator did an excellent job.
