Publisher's Summary

From New York Times best-selling author Angie Fox - a fabulously fun short story in the new Southern Ghost Hunter Mystery series.

Verity Long doesn't want to see ghosts, and she'd rather not let anyone know her little secret, either. But when a restless spirit stirs up trouble in her friend's resale shop, Verity and her very new, very dead gangster friend team up to learn what is really happening. They discover an age-old secret and must learn the truth behind a mysterious disappearance...before it's too late.

"Loved it, but this was too short."

I'm a little bummed at his short it was. I'll have to go look at the description again. I would have chose another book if I'd of known. It was a good boil, but I really thought there'd be more to it. I thought Ellis would be in it.

"Cute, Short , I'll read another."

I believe there must be a 1st book. This is book two. A few things were quickly explained and the story went on without too much of a problem. I was in the mood for "Happy" and that is what I got!

    "Full of Fun and Charm"

Following up the fun, fright, and flirty opening to the series with Southern Spirits, A Ghostly Gift happens after things are settling down.

Verity is determined not to do any more ghost hunting now that she can breathe easily about keeping her home off the seller's block. Unfortunately, just because she solved a murder and took care of a ghost problem this does not make anyone in town look on her more favorably and hire her to do a graphic design job.

But, her sister Melanie's friend can use her help though she can't pay other than in perhaps something from her second hand/antique store. Julie's store is in the old part of town and she knows its haunted which was fine until one of the ghosts started getting aggressive and breaking some of her pieces.

Verity agrees to the job and tows a reluctant Frankie along to help her figure out what has the angry ghost riled up.

This was a short, heartwarming ghost hunter case that has all the charm of the larger novels in the series. Again I loved the blend of small southern town, characters, history, and a ghostly case. It was well paced and well developed for a shorter piece.

Audio work was fantastic work by Tavia Gilbert. I think the scene of the ghosts at the bar just killed me. She did great work with all those characters and always does great with the recurring characters.

All in all, a nice delicious treat between the larger stories.

After the 1st book I was expecting a longer story line. I did enjoy the book but it was way too short.

"Would have liked a little more suspense"

It was a cute little romantic story but I was hoping for some more suspense and mystery as there was in the first book.

As with the first book, I enjoy all the time eras the ghost come from and this one does not disappoint but it was definitely just a mini-filler type story. The character of Frankie continues to grow on me and I am really liking his character.

I haven't really decided about Verity yet because even though she finds her inner courage sometimes I'm like wondering why she is so freaked out by the ghost stuff still.
