Publisher's Summary

Spitfire disgrace Matthieu Boudreaux has one wish: to age out of the Pedigree he despises, then destroy it. With one year left before he achieves the first step of his goal, Matthieu finally has some hope for an independent future. That is, until a surly Amethyst dragon by the name of Geoffrey Drake and his entourage show up at Matthieu’s cloister and inform him he’s been selected to be part of an "experiment".

Geoffrey Drake, proud and stuffy legal counsel for the Amethyst clan, has been charged with ruining his own life. His mission? Deliver a potential mate to the son of the Amethyst clan’s most despised enemy - and the man he’s loved in secret for the last hundred years - Topaz dragon Ian Brand. Refusal is impossible. Dragons don’t consort with dragons, and should Geoffrey decline, he risks exposing them both.

Ian Brand, charming black sheep of the Topaz clan, is trapped between his forbidden love for an Amethyst dragon centuries his senior and his duty to his family. Chosen by his unhinged father to be the Topaz candidate for the mating experiment, Ian is faced with a terrible choice: run away with the man he loves and face the deadly consequences or accept his fate with a broken heart.

But dragon magic - as Matthieu, Geoffrey, and Ian soon discover - works in mysterious ways. When an unforeseeable circumstance draws them all together and puts their futures at risk, they have no choice but to set their differences aside and work together to prove a new, startling truth....

What the dragon world knows about mates has been wrong all along, and it will be up to the three of them to prove it.

Please note: Mate is a steamy omegaverse romance involving male pregnancy that will leave you in stitches. It contains an experiment gone awry, five eccentric peacocks, an unusually large number of whelps, an ancient Viking Daddy dragon, and science! For maximum enjoyment, Mate is best listened to following the events of Clutch and Bond.

So great i'm laughing my socks off

If a HEA MPREG Omegaverse MMM threesome, peppered with humour, an outrageously ridiculous amount of characters and a bunch of teeny tiny dragonlongs thrown into the mix is something you might enjoy - this is a book I recommend wholeheartedly. While this is not a standalone and does require you to read the first two books that are entirely amazing on their own account - it is a book that brings the series together into a wonderful conclusion. The dynamic between the 3 MCs is full of fun banter, and a feel of genuine support and love. What starts as a complex situation slowly devolves into a full circus composed of a vibrant and, quite literally, colorful cast of characters that become part of the three MCs struggle to find their HEA. Michael F. does an impeccable job of delivering the story in his smooth warm voice while juggling a large number of character voices and accents, delivering each one a unique and very well suited acting. Its all so seamlessly put together that you are only left to indulge in the story of a very traditional and set-in-their -ways dragon shifter society in the midst of revolutionary changes brought upon by a union made of three sophisticated and sharp minded bondmates. Its a story where love survives and in the end wins all battles, internal or otherwise. Truly, if you havent picked up this series yet you are truly missing out.

Absolutely -Fabulous Narration

I first read or better say experienced Mate as an ebook. Found it to be a delightful, sensual , spellbinding , humorous , quirky and hot AF story . With his spectacular narration Michael Ferraiuolo brings that experience to new highs. He gave main and secondary characters a distinctive and recognizable voice . Matching the character traits , personality and accent perfectly. It was a joy listening to his performance. Piper Scott, Virginia Kelly and Michael Ferraiuolo together make formidable trio. Looking forward to future collaborations. A gladly spent audio credit. 😁😀💕🙌 And that's saying a lot from a certified audio credit's hoarder like me , LOL😁😊😜

Who knew the 3rd book would become my favorite

This is the longest Forbidden Desires book at well over 11 hours. I was prepared to like certain aspects of the book and dislike others. What I didn't expect was to utterly fall in love with it. Are there issues with the book? Yes. Half the time i had a difficult time understanding Matthew. And when Cedric walked into the yard, I still don't get why it took so long for the dragony dragons to leap out to protect the whelps. However, when a story leaves me in happy tears, the issues no longer matter. I utterly love the Drakes, including the newest ones. Adore the whelps. Love the idea that Darwin and Julius are now in a world where anything can happen. Love Geoffrey and adore Iain. Matthew is okay - not my fave omega (too angsty most likely), but he did seem the perfect foil for his two alphas. Several times I wished Everard would shut Harry up. I winced and laughed when his bad bedside manner came out in droves. (He's still my fave omega. Clueless scientist.) The Viking dragon was... a bit of a surprise. And that's putting it mildly. Horny li'l bugger. I adored his poly family, but being flirted with by him would make me run for cover. LOL The family pets are becoming an amusement I hope continues. First we had Alastair & Nate's pig Olive. Then we got Harry's iguana Steve who is more like an adopted son than a pet. And now we got the five honking peacocks. I think they are my fave of the pets so far. It makes sense that if dragons are going to have pets, they should definitely be different. And those five peacocks are definitely different in wonderful ways. (I love that it's Geoffrey that truly made them pets. And that he makes them sweaters every year.) I have already downloaded the two companion books to the series (and look forward to listening to them) and hope the authors will treat us to Perry & Sebastien's story. There are also a couple other Drakes whose stories need told. All in all, I hope this series continues. I never thought I would say this as I am NOT a fan of the omegaverse genre, but we definitely need more in this particular Forbidden Desires omegaverse.

WOW WOW WOW

I have never listened to anything like this series before. I was hooked with in a few minutes of the 1st book Clutch, but this one is just heartwarming. It absolutely has the feel of the LGBTQ, Racism and BDSM couples fights to be seen as a variation of normal in how Geoffrey, Ian and Matthieu have to fight for their love to be seen as worthy. I have loved all the twists and turns from the first book to now to get to this "final" place. (I know there is a novella, but this is basically a finale). The storyline is so unique, thw characters so well thought out, the eventual reveal of all the actual information just all went together seamlessly. The narrator is absolutely FANTASTIC, he has so many voices and accents he brings the books to life. I was very impressed with just everything, book, storyline, narrative, creativity. I strongly recommend this entire series, in one book you will laugh, cry, be on the edge of your seat and your heart will melt. Harry is probably my favorite character and I love that he plays such a large role in all of the books and his brilliant mind and zero filter. Perry and Matthieu were wicked smart and tough. The Amethyst family sticking together through all the ups and downs in the books was emotional. BEAGLE being a safeword was a riot, although it took a minute to realize what had happened. The sad stories of Omegas that have been lost over the centuries and those abused were a bit of a trigger, and so heartbreaking, but it made the eventual outcome so much more poignant.

Just keeps getting better and better!

Oh how I adore this series! Mate was phenomenal, I loved Geoff, Ian and Matthau together! And on their journey to their HEA we get to visit again with the entire Amethyst clan and meet a host of other clan members too! It was just so good. Epic storytelling at it's best. Of course, Michael Ferraiuolo once again was flawless. I dont know how he managed to have so many separate and distinct voices for everyone. I never once was confused about who was talking. He was superb!

Best of the series

There are no words for how fantastic this book and the narration is. Michael Ferraiuolo’s ability to bring the uniqueness of each character to life is other worldly. Piper and Virginia touched on so many issues affecting the real world and how the MCs and their loved ones go about fighting for what’s right and fair. Within the lesson they give a wonderfully steamy, humorous and touching love story between fated mates. Best shifter mpreg poly book.

Entertaining

This book was entertaining and I liked all the characters (I suggest you listen or read the first two before listening or reading this one ). Quite a bit of funny interaction while serious discussion was had on the world changing throughout the book. This "disgraces omegas turned out to be the heros or heroines based on finding out the truth. Harry is a hoot, love him. It actually reminded me of today's world and things that are happening. I also liked Matthew and the peacocks (like in the other books) birds added an element of fun. I like this narrator especially with him having the ability to have different tones for each character.

MMM mpreg with surprise

Two Alpha's, Geoffrey Drake and Ian Brand, are legal counsels to their respective Amethyst and Topaz clan and have been together, in secret, for over a hundred year. Ian has been chosen for the mating experiment with Matthieu. However Matthieu is no pushover and the men find a solution for their situation. Which turns out to give an unexpected result. This book is a good addition to the series. Narration is well done.

Fantastic Story!

When I began the book I wasn’t quite sure in which direction it was going but once Matthieu the spicy French omega was introduced I understood and immediately fell in love with his character This book not only presents as a satisfying saucy romance but also helped me understand the concept of polyamorous relationships in a better light All around a fabulous book in an amazing series brought to life by Micheal Ferraiuolos narration. 🔥🔥🔥🔥 4.5/5 Steaminess

Another Fantastic Story

I knew I wouldn’t be disappointed when listening to this audiobook - well, the only disappointing thing about it is the fact it’s the last in the series (that I’m aware of - please make another!) I absolutely loved this series from beginning to end, each one with such passion (in and out of the sheets 😉😉), with humility, love and respect as well as hilarity, and there’s LOTS of that too! Each book managed to draw a tear, not in sadness, but for the conclusion to the hate and fear that was endured. I cannot praise these authors and the narrator enough for giving such a great experience and wonderful fantastical adventure. I really hope this isn’t the end, as there are two more brothers sexcapades that haven’t been told yet - I get the distinct impression that when Joff telephones his brother to find out his net worth, and that said brother’s phone is answered by a mysterious ‘dominator’, (but obviously in the middle of another sex scandal I’m sure), it seems to have left an open avenue to explore. I sure hope the authors do! Thank you both for lighting up a very dark part in my life at the moment - I really needed this series, especially characters Nate, Harry & Everard 😆 Thank you so much ☺️

Three’s Company...

I’ve enjoyed the other books in this series so I was looking forward to this next instalment. If you’ve listened to the earlier books I think you’ll enjoy this one more as they introduce you to the omegaverse. I love the dragons, this world is great fun. A little bit different with 2 Alphas introducing an Omega to their established relationship. I loved Geoffrey and Ian and the lovely Omega Matthieu is a really nice character. Michael Ferraiuolo does this story justice with his fantastic character portrayal, his accents are brilliant and very believable. There’s tons of characters in this audio and it’s really easy to tell who’s who.

Amazing!

What an epic story! And by “epic” I definitely mean both how amazing it is, plus the scope this story spans. The third installment of Piper Scott and Virginia Kelly’s Forbidden Desires series, Mate is the tale of the menage relationship between two Alpha Dragons and one Pedigree omega. Definitely read Clutch and Bond before jumping into this one. Finding out Ian has to mate with an omega, who he will most likely bond with, is terrible news. Not only for Geoffrey and Ian, both Alphas, who have been lovers for years, but also for the omega, Matthieu, who has dreams of his own. The opening scenes between these three are amazing, as they work their way through discovering how to get through this predicament. And watching them discover how it is possible for all three of them to be mated is a highlight of the story. When the three face the stigma which surrounds their coupling, they are astonished to find so much support from smaller factions of their community. Of course, they have some huge obstacles to overcome, and find help in some unexpected places. Mate is beautifully narrated by Michael Ferraiuolo and I truly don’t think anyone else could have done this story justice. Mr. Ferraiuolo’s skill at accents is unparalleled, and he must use them all in this episode. Always able to infuse humor into the funny bits, and heat into the sexy bits, Michael Ferraiuolo’s performance is spectacular. Ms. Scotts and Ms. Kelly introduce some wonderful new characters in Mate as well as bringing back all the favorites from the first two books. Between the descriptions of the dragons’ hordes, the playful nature between the whelps, the laugh-out-loud humor of the peacocks, and the smokin’ hot MMM love scenes, Mate earns five huge stars!

Fantastic!

I don't know if this is the last book the authors will write in this series, but if so, it is a fantastic conclusion. I loved the omega Matthieu and his strong, snarky disposition. I loved the way he planned for a future that didn't fit the omega typecast, and plotted the downfall of dragon society, even while he sat in a cloister likely to be mated. I absolutely loved the MMM dynamic between the two alpha dragons and between them and Matthieu, and it was great the way they kept finding new family members and connections. Is their revelation the end of dragon society or the beginning? Fantastic story! I love the way Matthieu cared about the fates of the other disgraces trapped in the cloisters and set out to free them all, not just himself. I also really loved the way Geoffrey's family supported him, even after his secret trysts with Ian were revealed. Finally, I loved Mat and Iggy together. I bet they could raise some hell! The narration was fantastic. Great job of providing different voices for the various characters and capturing the atmosphere of love and caring in the family components. I received a complimentary copy of this audiobook through the author and am voluntarily leaving this honest review.

Great addition to the series...

Overall: 4.5 Stars! I'm not that much of a fan of menages, especially when the third is added to an established couple like in Matthieu, Ian and Geoffrey's case, so that might have colored my perception just a bit, so keep that in mind while reading this review. Honestly, I wasn't too sure what to think about Geoffrey. He was so stuffy and serious in the first two books, but I quickly changed my mind when I saw how devoted to Ian he was and how much Ian seemed to adore him in turn. This might have been part of the reason why I had trouble warming up to Matthieu, or perhaps it just was that I didn't like him enough. He was too much of a spitfire, too pushy, just too much overall for me. Plus, there's the whole thing of Matthieu becoming Ian and Geoffrey's mate when the two of them had already been together for over a hundred years. Yes, they were hot together and I guess they worked fairly well as a throuple, but for me, there was something missing. *shrugs* I loved that so many questions were answered and that we got to catch up with Alistair and Nate, Harry and Everard (who are still very much my favorites), Sebastian and Perri and all the dragon babies and pets. I never thought I would find a clutch of peacocks to be so appealing and fun! This book is long and there was a lot happening, yet, I was very engrossed in the story. It was fun as all hell, sexy, entertaining and engaging. While I wasn't as invested in Geoffrey, Ian and Matthieu's story as I was with the previous ones, it was still an enjoyable one. And really, if nothing else, you should get this one because of Michael Ferraiuolo's masterful narration. He nailed all the voices, all the accents and there were a lot of them. The transitions between each character were smooth and honestly, I was very impressed that he could do so many accents in a single scene without it feeling forced. Definitely an audiobook you don't want to miss!

Utterly perfect!

The Drake Dragons are back with this third book in the fantastic series, this time focussing on Geoffrey Drake, the uptight family lawyer. Ironically, Geoffrey has been quietly flouting dragon law with Eric, another alpha. When Eric is expected to sire a clutch with ornery omega, Matthieu, Geoffrey and Eric must tread carefully. The books all contain great characters and lovely humour, but this book also contains a powerful message about accepting any form of love between equals. 🎧 Michael Ferraiuolo was sired to narrate these novels and gives his usual humorous, arch, flawless performance and showcases his amazing ability to switch between multiple accents.
