No more information dumps!
Map It helps you turn training requests into projects that make a real difference. You'll learn how to:
- Help the client identify what's really causing the performance problem.
- Determine the role (if any!) of training.
- Create realistic activities that help people practice what they need to do, not just show what they know.
- Choose the best format for each activity -- online, projected to a group, on paper, as a small-group activity, over email...
- Provide each activity at the best time -- in the workflow, available on demand, spaced over time...
- Let people pull the information they need to complete the activity -- no more information dumps!
- Enjoy creating challenging activities that people want to complete.
- Show how your project has improved the performance of the organization.
Using humor and lots of examples, Map It walks you through action mapping, a visual approach to needs analysis and training design. Organizations around the world use action mapping to improve performance with targeted, efficient training.

Great book-should have been narrated by a human

Unfortunately, I didn’t check the narration before using my credit and didn’t realize it was an AI narration.
The book contents are great! But the narration keeps confusing or losing me due to the mispronounced words, and awkward cadence in places. Please stop using AI to do narration and hire real people who can read and understand the English language to be able to tell the difference between “content” and “content” or “present” and “present” based on the context of the sentence and subject matter of the chapter. The “content” error is particularly prevalent due to the subject matter being focused on training “content”.
The only demerit to getting any audiobook version of this book is that some information and clarity may be lost because I’m not seeing the action mapping visuals in the book. As a visual learner, I can definitely get a lot of use with the information, but I’d really prefer to have the physical book in my hands (if it wasn’t so expensive).
Great book that deserved real narration

I DO recommend the traditional version of this book, but avoid the audiobook unless you really need that.
Horrible AI narration
