Captivating with a shocking ending. Following Ian Troy as he navigates how to save the kingdom from war and other powerful shinrees all while battling his own demons. This is a story that will have you wondering what's next. Initially I struggled to get into the book but it didn't take long that I found myself not wanting to stop listening. The narration was fantastic and helped be to tell the story. The character development was strong especially when you think you've figured out a character and it all changes. I am definitely ready for the next bookin this saga.

It is definitely a Price

Just like we all learned from Once Upon A Time, all magic comes with a price. With the main character of this story, he truly had a price to pay with the crown stone he came upon and used in anger 10 years past. He now has to help his people as well as the citizens for magic is beyond the horizon about to be used for evil. There are many dramas with family, enemies, friends, and mutual acquaintances, and every single one is great to listen to. If you like reading about magic, try this one out!

Fantastic Fantasy

Strong characters, very engaging story. This story has it all from suspense, drama with lots of twists and turns. Love how the author paints such an amazing story. Looking forward to the next book in the series. Recommend to those looking for a great magical and adventurous read.

Amazing voice actor

The voice acting was the best part! it really transports you to another world and helps immerse you into the story. The quality of the audio and wide range of expressions really helped to sell the story.

great story

This is not my first audible by this author but it is one of my favorites. I enjoyed being pulled into the story by the narrator’s different tones of voices for the characters. I also enjoyed how engaging they made the story. It is a fast paced story that took me on an adventure that I had to know more about. This is a story about magic, fantasy, and mystery. This story has action, excitement and meaningful. Ian Troy is addicted to magic, born to be a slave and his magic is used only as it serves the purpose of other people. What will happen when he meets a beautiful assassin? When he comes face to face with his own power, what will he do? I really enjoyed this audible. I can’t wait to listen to the next book in this series. I highly recommend this audible.
