The story was okay but I struggled to like the main female character. I also felt like the voice didn't match the character. It's only my opinion though.

Hooked from the beginning!

A. Caprice weaves a fantastic tale in book 1, hooking you in with a heroine that is strong from the start and only gets stronger despite a couple of mishaps. The reality part of the book is slower burn but the dream part of it definitely brings the heat. Definite must read, the only drawback was the narrator ended a lot of sentences with a lifted breath making the characters seem questioning or surprised. After the first 5 minutes the storyline drew me in enough that I stopped noticing the breathiness. I devoured the book in 1 day and don't regret a minute of it! Definitely looking forward to book 2!

Fascinating & Magical PNR🔥Fantastic Narration🎧

I enjoyed this book immensely, the story grabbed my attention right from the start and captivated it to the end, leaving me interested in what is to come in the next book. A. Caprice is a gifted author with an imaginative mind, the storylines and characters she created are original and fascinating. Delaney Jones was barely making ends meet, her hopes were to make it big in MMA cage fighting. After a bang up fight, her life is forever changed, she is not only attacked by a bizarre creature but she is approached by a guy claiming magic exists and she was selected to go to the Raven Academy to learn more about her magic. Clueless about magic she goes with it anyway and she is faced with more challenges, rival students, the inability to perform any magic and three hot guys, a professor, a demon and a fellow student. Adding to all this new found excitement is an old prophecy and the fact that she is in danger from who has yet to be determined. This book is the first in the series, it lays down the foundation, introducing the key characters, I am looking forward to learning more about her men and what part they play in it all. It also raises questions of who and why are they after Delaney. There is never a dull moment in this book, the story is cleverly plotted with plenty of drama, some angst, action, twists and turns, mystery, some heartfelt and emotional moments and a slow burn to what is going to be a hot romance, reverse harem style. 🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, Meghan Kelly is a talented narrator and a versatile voice artist. She performs the voices for all the characters and is fabulous at covering both the female and male roles, giving each their own distinct voice making it easy follow along and tell who is who. Her portrayal of the characters is spot on, she grasps each character’s persona and plays that role with perfection, sounding just as I picture them to sound. She also brings out all of their emotions which is heard in her performance. She is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another awesome listen🎧

Great New series!

This is a reverse Harem Romance and it is fantastic!!! The story is well written and narrated. It has action, intrigue, suspense, adventure,and romance. This story starts out with a heart racing intrigue and continues all the way through the story.
The narrator does a fabulous job with the characters and voices of each characters making it easy to distinguish between all the different characters. Meghan Kelly has a great voice and is a joy to listen to. I definitely recommend this audiobook! It’s definitely worth the price!

Great Beginning

Magic Misfit is a great beginning to the Raven Academy series.

Delaney Jones, underground fighter, waitress or witch? After an extremely long day Delaney is approached with an offer she can’t refuse. Delaney soon finds herself at Raven Academy where she finds out she may or may not be part of a 40+ year old prophecy. Enter three hotties who try to train her on how to use her magic.

Can’t wait for the second book!

Annoying Narrator

The narrator has an annoying way of speaking for the main character. She sounds like everything is a surprise and question at once. The story is spicy and interesting but I almost returned this due to the narrator.

I was hooked from the beginning.
The storyline was great.
I really enjoyed it. I did find myself smiling and laughing a lot.
Finding her magic and then the guys... just wow 😉
I can’t wait to see what comes next for them.
I am going to jump ahead and read the next books.
Meghan did a fantastic job narrating.

My Thoughts on Magic Misfit

What a great start to a series. It was funny, steamy, fast paced, and extremely entertaining. I love a good reverse harem book. Especially of the paranormal variety. And while things aren't exactly cohesive on the RH front like I've seen in other books, I look forward to seeing how it will gel together in future books. More specifically if the guys can ever gel together. And it was all perfectly narrated by Meghan Kelly. I loved the different tones she had for each character and the high energy she brought to the leading lady. She had just the right sound to her voice for whatever the moment called for.

Entertaining

I enjoyed this book. I only wished the story was a bit more developed. I feel as a start to a series it was good and maybe later I’ll get what I’m missing now. Meghan Kelly gave a great performance. I know that whenever I pick up an audiobook narrated by her she will help keep me enthralled.

My Two Pennies

A great read that put a spell on me from the very beginning, I never wanted to hit pause while listening to this audiobook version. The narration by Meghan Kelly brings the characters to love more then the words on the page do already. I couldn’t decide who I was rooting for more between Dante, Gareth and Bane. Delaney is one lucky lady to have these men surrounding and teaching her. There’s mystery intertwined with romance throughout the story to give it that sexy edge along with having your investigative senses on high alert.
