Publisher's Summary
Paul Martinez is run ragged by the demands of managing his family's landscaping business and his mother's battle with dementia, and it's been so long since he had sex - he can't remember the last time. The arrival of nurse Hope Russell brings some much needed help to Paul and his brother, Alex, in taking care of their ill mother, but Hope's presence sparks a whole new problem for Paul - lusting after one of his employees, something his late father would never condone.
Hope and her young son, Ethan, really need this second chance on Gansett Island, and she's determined to make her new job work for both of them. Kissing her boss, however, was not part of the plan. The more time she spends with Paul, the more she admires the way he cares for his mother and the attention he pays to her son. But when Paul finds out about her shameful past, will he still want her and Ethan in his life?

Unsatisfactory narrating.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
I've listen to the whole series and having new narrators really distracts from the story for me. The new female narrator is choppy and it sounds like she's reading. The accents don't sound right and the male narrator just isn't as masculine sounding as the previous one. He can't pull off the Mac McCarthy character at all. I have been looking forward to this release for quite a while and I was really disappointed. I apologize for being negative.

Narration
Voices for Mack, Ned, and Blaine we’re so horrible it was hard to listen - especially Blaine. He sounded like an old creepy man to me. Love the story as usual but my ears were glad when it was over.

Terrible Narration
Would you be willing to try another one of Felicity Munroe’s performances?
This is my first book by Felicity Munroe I hope I do not have to listen to her narration in this series again!
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Other than feeling the narration was terrible not really! I loved the story. I loved visiting Gansett Island again but the narration was super distracting!

Not my favorite.
I love Marie Force and the series, but I felt that there were too many subplots and that the narrator did not distinguish enough between the characters for me to follow along.

Great story- Narrator a little eh.
Would you consider the audio edition of Love after Dark to be better than the print version?
No.
Any additional comments?
I loved the story for what it was (even though I must admit I'm getting a little *yawns* about all of these characters falling in love and getting engaged within a damn week- that shouldn't be a spoiler, come on- like you aren't expecting them to have a HEA!) but the narrator threw me off a bit. I LOVED her accent for Jenny- thought it was spot on. But the Ned one just.... no. I will say though- between her and the original narrator that has done all of the rest.... I prefer her because the other sounds like.... well the only way to describe it is like her nose is stopped up. It was too distracting and took me out of the moment. If she could work on her Ned accent I wouldn't have a single problem with her.
Paul and Hope are both really likable characters and I did enjoy the story. My grandmother suffered from Alzheimer's so this one hit pretty close to home. I still love and enjoy this series even though they're starting to become predictable. I think half of the island is now pregnant- and I know it before they even say it. It's nice, however, to see some of them are now starting to deal with REAL issues- to show that it's not always hearts and bows once they get their happily ever after.
