Literal Leigh is literally Hysterical!

What made the experience of listening to Literal Leigh Romance Diaries: The Complete Collection Boxed Set the most enjoyable?

The series is an extremely funny paranormal witch story. This is one of the funniest and most enjoyable series I have ever read. You will laugh hysterically and fall in love with all the characters. The stories have a combination of magic, mishaps, romance, suspense, and above it all characters that form unbreakable friendships and relationships that touches your heart.

What other book might you compare Literal Leigh Romance Diaries: The Complete Collection Boxed Set to and why?

I actually haven't read any other book I can compare exactly to Literal Leigh Romance Diaries! If there is another series out there like it I would love to read it!

Have you listened to any of Hollie Jackson’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This was my first time listening to a book read by Hollie Jackson but I loved her voice for every character in the book! She read the book perfectly and made me laugh throughout the entire series!

If you could rename Literal Leigh Romance Diaries: The Complete Collection Boxed Set, what would you call it?

Literal Leigh's Hysterical Magical Mayhem Romance Diaries!

Any additional comments?

Only that it states it's a complete boxed set and I'm hoping that doesn't mean Melanie James is not going to write anymore Leigh books. I hope she does. I want to know what mayhem will ensue with the Royal Wedding!

One of a kind and LOTS of fun!

Where does Literal Leigh Romance Diaries: The Complete Collection Boxed Set rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

OMG! This set is in my favorites list. I know I will be reading it again to grasp some of the parts I missed the first time around. I talked about it so much to my BFF as I was reading it that I got her into it also. We are having fun discussing the characters like they are people we know.

What other book might you compare Literal Leigh Romance Diaries: The Complete Collection Boxed Set to and why?

The Enchanted Inc. series by Shanna Swendson is the the closest I can remember that was as much fun to read about and get the characters permanently stuck in my head.

Which scene was your favorite?

Spoiler Alert! When Leigh accidently bashed Hunter in the head with that heavy vase and put him into a coma. It is my favorite scene because he forgave her for it.

If you could take any character from Literal Leigh Romance Diaries: The Complete Collection Boxed Set out to dinner, who would it be and why?

Gertie, no question about that. I just know it would be an eventful and fun time. She is so out of control she really appeals to me.

Any additional comments?

I got this book with a special and took a chance. It is one of the best results of me taking a chance on a book. Warning! This book is not meant for those under 18. It is more than just steamy throughout the book but in a totally VERY fun way. Wish there were more like this or maybe even start a new genre for it to encourage more authors to have ones like this.

Good Clean Fun

Good clean trashy fun. A couple of explicit times where I had to make sure no one else was listening but it was well done!

Glad it was the complete set.

I'm not sure how to describe it. I would have been a little upset to use 1 credit for just 1 of these books. It makes it better that I got the whole set for just 1 credit. Parts of the stories were funny, parts were almost embarrassingly crude and parts were just over the top. These were not books that I would listen to again. The narrator was fine.

I wanted to like it!

it was the type of book I usually go for, but......... it was too dumb for words. I don't mind a bit of dizziness but this was down right "really?"

Something light and not y.a.

I really liked this series. it was light hearted and not so intense. There was enough romance and language to make it not young adult.

Girls just wanna have fu-un

I really enjoyed this book. The character's were, well real characters like as in quirky, funny, weird. Three friends find out they are witches and the situations they end up in will have you rolling with laughter. I found myself laughing at work while listening to this. I was sorry to have it end.

Enchanting and hilarious

Accidental Leigh is utterly fantastic! Leigh's intentions are so wonderful. I love that she tried to help her friends when she was figuring her magic out. Honestly this book is laugh out loud hilarious. I was listening to the audiobook on the train laughing like a crazy person. The phrase "taco dinner" is going to stay with me forever. And the cow scene is hysterical!

The second book, Serious Leigh, builds on everything that made the first book a delight. I laughed all the way through the brownie/hotel scene. When Leigh thinks she's dead and days "Oh my god I pissed off Jesus and he hung up on me!" I lost it so badly! Same for the Spongebob/Pavlov reference. The cookout scene is absolute perfection. I love Gertie's confusion about modern times/culture. Hunter is lovely too, I'm really enjoying the blossoming relationship there. The overall plot of Leigh's book and the witches union is steadily coming to light and I'm intrigued to see where it goes.

Hopeful Leigh somehow manages to get even better. At times it borders on inappropriate levels of funny. Early on I was laughing so hard someone asked me what the joke was and there was no way I was explaining how this particular spell had worked out. I like that more of the characters are experimenting with magic in different ways, and Leigh's books genuinely sound like great novels. Too bad they're ALL magical, no matter how innocent the intentions.

The fourth book, Haunting Leigh, has us finally ready to go to the Halloween gala, which has been teased since book 2. But first, problems occur. It was really fun actually having Leigh doing her job as a school teacher. There's a lot of adorable scenes in the classroom before the main plot really kicks in. We get to see a lot more of the magical world in this book with spirits and mediums being the main focus. "The power of catnip compels you!" Also, is it weird that I loved seeing Leigh angry? It's so different to what we've seen from her before. By the end of the book I was crying happy tears from all the cute feelings. Not just Leigh and Hunter, Luna too! She's just an awesome character, and her only line is "Meow."

The final book of this collection, Joyful Leigh, is so pure and filthy at the same time. I loved the whole idea of Thanks-hanukkah-mas and teacher-years. And then we had increasingly inappropriate situations with furry suits which just made me go into hysterics. AND THE MILF SPEECH! The writing is so clever and hilarious! The families had a bigger role in this book as they celebrate multiple holidays, and seeing their reactions to Leigh's magical craziness is fantastic. I'm so excited as Leigh and Hunter's wedding is teased. They've been through so much and I'm excited for them to get, what I hope will be, a happily ever after.

Great book

This series is full of miscommunication and mischief. I laughed through out this series. It’s worth the time to read and listen to.
