LOL!

This story made me snort laugh several times, startling my poor dog sleeping next to me! The puns were plentiful, and the good-natured humor prevalent in all of the books in this universe was well-represented. I really need an Esmerelda in my life. Caramel sundaes are so much better than stale sea water! Keep them coming, please! As always, Hollie Jackson voiced this book so well, I forgot there was only one person reading it.

Fun

I enjoyed listening to this book. It was a little short, but that didn't take away from the story. The characters were interesting. The bird was great! The narrator was good. She's easy to listen to.

Great laughs

This story will have you rolling on the floor laughing. The characters are original and hilarious. The narrator does a superb job with voicing the characters. A funny, sexy story with witches, a raccoon shifter and a male fairy. I received a complimentary audio and this review is voluntary.

Gertie simply makes things funny

This book, without Gertie, relies solely on Jessica’s unfortunate blunders in order to make things comical, whereas the first two books in the series rely on much of the same thing, they’re successful because of the character of Gertie. Jessica’s character alone isn’t enthralling/engaging enough to carry a story without her. Some elements are funny:running over the ‘shifter’ she came to West Virginia to find, the ‘training’ wand that looks and acts suspiciously like a vibrator, and the bird,Gus that can and does sing/say anything he chooses to whenever he chooses to, but Jessica alone? Not so much. A decent listen with a few chuckles, but nothing truly memorable.
