Good but slightly sexist

Almost everything about this book was really good and the only bad part was when there were couple times that it was sexist

Book is amazing

I truly enjoyed this book. It’s amazing. The only issue is the length of the books. They will have to keep the two books or even three book bundle going on audible
Sometimes being OP isn’t for me, but when you are this intelligent and you are helping your people it works very well. Keep it up fam!

excellent story

the story is an excellent follow-up to the first, but the narrator needs a large diaphragm microphone and a sound isolated studio so he can lower the gain and actually scream into it. Otherwise, an excellent reading.

i like it when the hero is the biggest bad a$$ in town all the time

Far beyond what I expected, great listen.

After the first publishers pack I got all the remaining packs (that I know of) and I just recently finished this one. The progression of the story is going a lot faster than I expected, but I don't feel that it is rushed in any way.

Having the MC engage more with the kingdom surrounding Blackstone village is a good move, getting more notoriety and acclaim bolsters his validity as the ruler of his domain.

I look forward to the next books, Tom Taylorson does an excellent job of narrating.

Guys, Guys, Guys, Brat...

So still heavy over use of "guys" when a less blunt and clunky feeling descriptor word could be used And now we start to see Brat, which seems to be Sisa's go to insult for bad guys to use and starts being used more often in the next volumes by different characters which again lack of variety gets annoying and repetitive.

The story in general feels improved as we begin to really have consistent reacuring cast members who interact with Lark, and even if personal development feels a little thin when you dig deeper the more consistent character interactions give a feeling of more depth and vibrancy then the heavy town building aspect of the first book with characters who seemed a bit thin.

Great fun

Love it! Its simple, fast paced and like the first two books, fun. I’m sure their will be those who are critical of its simplicity, but disregard their opinions and enjoy.

p.s Michael if you read these comment, I'm not sure if your clever or evil for the way you ended book four but I for one will be eagerly awaiting book five!

The series doesnt go deep into detail, it's more of a fast paced book. Action packed with some city building.
