Editorial Reviews

A traditional and fun-to-sing folk tune about a father fox who ventures out on a crisp night to steal a goose for his family, much to the chagrin of the farmer who owns the animal. Recorded in 1969 (although the song is much older), some of the lyrics might be considered a bit gruesome now, although it's nothing compared to average TV fare. The sound here is excellent, and Molly Scott's voice is very pleasant to hear. A great choice for a sing-a-long with kids.

Publisher's Summary

Set in New England, this traditional tune sung by Molly Scott tells how Mr. Fox raids the farm to feed his family, and of the exciting chase that ensues.
