Awesome

My four year old listens to this in the car, at bedtime, and just for a rest. Love the different voices!

Great for the car

My Daughter loves this in the car - keeps her quiet on long trips and therefore worth every cent.

Very nice.

What did you love best about The Cat in the Hat and Other Dr. Seuss Favorites?

I love this. Usually I don't like to listen to children's books. The great narrators made a huge difference. I especially love How the Grinch stole Christmas.

Have you listened to any of the narrators’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No

The Cat in the Hat and Others by Dr. Seuss

What made the experience of listening to The Cat in the Hat and Other Dr. Seuss Favorites the most enjoyable?

The fact that I can cuddle in bed with my little one and listen to, not read, some of my favorite Dr. Seuss books is an awesome way to end our night.

What did you like best about this story?

There wasn't just one particular thing that I enjoyed best, I would honestly have to say that all the stories as a whole were pretty amazing (although my daughter would probably say its the sounds in the background along with the music).

What does the narrators bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Listening to the various narrators brought not only their individual voices (which are extremely different from my own), but it gave my daughter a chance to experience the stories through someone else's viewpoint.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The absolute best thing about these stories is the fact that my daughter enjoys them so much, that she actually asks to listen to them everynight before falling asleep.

My son loves the stories

My son is younger and really enjoys the stories and voices. Some are better than others but he enjoys them all.

Good, but.....

The source material is unquestionably good; the readings are *mostly* very good; the music is intrusive, superfluous, and frankly, grating. Dustin Hoffman is the best of the bunch, showing incredible class and demonstrating that he is an Actor (capital A) even when reading "Horton Hears a Who". Not bad for a car trip, but you'll miss the pictures.
