Critic reviews

"Dr. Seuss would delight in this presentation of his work.... Each narrator in the ensemble, Jason Alexander, David Hyde Pierce, and Michael McKean, conveys sparkle and dimension.... Playful musical interludes and sound effects add just the right emphasis and zaniness. An outstanding total package." (AudioFile)

Gotta love Dr. Suess!

I highly recommend this if you have younger children who love to listen to colorful voices with every story! My children were captivated particularly by the performances of Green Eggs and Ham, and One Fish, Two Fish. :-) They did not prefer the third actor’s voice, but I didn’t mind it at all, so that’s why I’m giving 4 stars overall. Happy Listening!

Good collection!

My kid (2 year old) has some of the stories in board books format too. She hears these independently though at bedtime.
It is not a relaxing or soothing book but exciting. The stories are great, the voice modulation is good and the length of the book is perfect.

Excellent!

The kids enjoyed the rhymes of Dr Seuss as I anticipated they would. I enjoyed listening to the celebrity narrators.

Fabulous!

I purchased this book to use with a mentally challenged adult in a nursing home. She loves it and laughs at the wonderful reading. Myself and my colleges have also enjoyed hearing these wonderful stories that we grew up hearing and reading to our now grown children. I love that I was able to buy this book and get so many stories. At almost an hour my resident can be entertained and happy for a good amount of time without us having to buy several and having to start a new one every few minutes
Of course I highly recommend these stories for young children. My grandchildren love them!

Delicious Servings of Dr. Seuss

My 6-year-old loves Dr. Seuss's books. This audio book has a wonderful collection of the Seussicals that are brilliantly narrated. We play the kids audio books during our daily commute to school and this is one of the most frequently requested (right next to "The Cat in the Hat and Other Dr. Seuss Favorites" (which I have to add is a great deal for the bucks)).

Entertaining

Now, I haven't actually listened to much of this but it sure was handy to have on the plane for our 3 year old! It was a great distraction and made her feel so big to use the ipod to listen to her own book! And she even enjoyed it!!

love it and my son does too

great audio books. they say kids read better if they are read too from a young age. well, we started very early and now he's 7. I still read to him and he reads to me; however, this is a great way to send him off to sleep. he loves listening to the stories, over and over again. it normally puts him right out.
