A little rough but it grows on you after awhile.

Came for the crochet and was left baffled at times. Mystery was run of the mill.

Hoped for More

I usually enjoy stories in which the main character is an older woman, However, Molly (48) did not seem relatable, just picking up the perfect boyfriend at the grocery store after her perfect husband died suddenly. Her interest in learning to "hook" was driven by her desire to find a killer, not a desire so create - which was disappointing. I had hoped for more.

A cute story

A little annoyed with the female cop. Pursuing the lead victim. Cops have more sense. The cop would’ve definitely have known from the autopsy and other signs on the dead victim if the victim was capable of this murder crime.

Nice Crochet Fiction

I liked this book as a crochet/comedy and less as a murder mystery. I crochet and found the feud between the knitters and crocheters to be funny. The women are clumsy detectives when they were concerned with the murders but the murder mystery seemed to take a back seat to character building and crocheting. It was a nice story but it didn't capture me enough to make me pick up the next one in the series.

Good Book, Clean content for the most part.

Would you consider the audio edition of Hooked on Murder to be better than the print version?

I have not read the print version.

What did you like best about this story?

Its crochet theme, Not too many cuss words, not too much sexual content. One thing that grates at me in books is when authors use the name of God in vain, this one didn't, or didn't very often, so I was able to listen to the whole thing. I listened to the first of a different series and could not even listen the whole way through because of that. It just grates on my ears and makes me flinch. I know that is not everyone's opinion, but this is mine, and I would choose or not choose a book if this kind of thing was mentioned in a review.

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

The narrator did different voices, Not as seemlessly done as some other readings I've heard, but it did not put me off either. I will definitlely listen to another book by this narrator if the story interests me.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

This wasn't a particularly amusing book, so I didn't laugh or cry. I listened to it because it is a quick, cosy mystery. It is perfect for what I wanted, something with no stress attached. It didn't scare me, but still made me think, "Who done it"?

Disappointing

Weak, one dimensional and abrasive characters. Totally unlikeable. Narrators voice choices were mostly grating and strident.

A nice easy book to listen to while knitting. I recommend it as I read the book years ago.
