Read This Or Die
The headline “Read This Or Die” is an example of a Proclamation Lead: A bold statement. The goal is to push the envelope on what is credible. I learned this while listening to the book. Brendan Kane goes deeper into describing why, how, and when to use proclamation leads & other types of leads in his book Hook Point.
Why I’m writing this review:
If you’re short on time, this is the book for you. If you want to be of better service to your customers/clients, this book is for you.
I am taking the time to write this review because I have received a ton of value from listening to Hook Point by Brendan Kane.
It took me about 48 hours to listen to this audiobook from beginning to end while getting everything else I need done for my business & personal life.
The key highlights for me are time & flexibility. I live a very active life and the audiobook version made it super easy to listen to key points in this book while at the gym, cooking, driving & taking care of business.
I now have the framework to practice and create better hook points for my film & video production business.

What can I say that hasn’t already been stated. Hook Point had me hooked the moment it came across my audible suggested reads. Brendan Kane inspired me, informed me, and impacted me. Hook Point was very engaging, held my attention, and had such a consistent flow. I finished the book in about 4 workout sessions at the gym. I truly appreciated the sincerity and genuine energy that I received from Brendan’s absolute willingness for his audience to really thrive off the information. There were moments I felt as though I could just call him up like hey can you help me with (xyz) and if the circumstances were right and purposeful he wouldn’t object. Brendan is truly a master craftsman and guru in his respected field. I really could sense Brendan owns the material and is fully confident the reader will not buy into the pitch but will be 100% convinced to practically apply the information from the pitch. My goals after reading is to strengthen my brand, dig deeper in much testing and research of hooks, and hopefully have a meeting with Brendan so that I can provide value back to him for blessing me!

The book was good, but it was ruined by the constant “to learn more visit our website at …” honestly I almost stopped listening to it because of how many times he says it. Good book, rough audio reading.

A Glorified Advertisement with nuggets of valuable information.
Overall, the content that focused on hook generation was actionable and thought provoking.
You just have to endure constant repetition of the authors background and connections.
Be prepared to hear endless references to the authors website and services that he offers.
Overall I recommend the book, it was just ironic that the author references how people don't like being sold to, while trying to sell you on his services.
