This essential guidebook will prepare you for the wild ride of entrepreneurship. It will warn you (of forthcoming fears, doubts, and the self-defeating conditioning of your upbringing and past), inoculate you (from the naysayers, dream-stealers, and pains of rejection and failure), and guide you (as you build those underdeveloped skills of independence, self-motivation, and self-accountability) safely past the landmines that blow up and cause the failure of 66 percent of all new businesses.

This is best book I’ve read in 2019

Lately I’ve been on a book binge and on that binge was the compound effect. After I was so deeply impacted by that book I decided to read this one, and it did not disappoint. Truly a must read

Gave up halfway though

If Tony Robbins-esque platitudes are your thing, you will love this book. I don't, so I didn't. The guy comes across as a huckster who selectively cribs his examples from actually successful entrepreneurs (think Steve Jobs, etc) to support whatever idea he might be wanting to push forward. My advise would be to read their books instead, this guy is hardly insightful.

Just what I needed

He tells you how it is going to be. He does not sugarcoat it, and he make take a real hard look at yourself. I walked away knowing exactly what I need to do to create a more successful business. Thank you for writing this book.

encouraging!

if you're looking for someone to tell you that "you can do it", if you're looking for encouragement, if you're looking for someone to tell you that there will be failures along the way but you will triumph then this is the book for you.

PRETENTIOUS

This is a book about an upper middle class guy who had $5000 dollars at 18 in the 1980's to put into a water filter business (Que inspiration). He then moves on to some of my favorite quotes: "could you imagine a world without apple?" (yes! yes I can!). And a classic pretentious quote: " those who don't have a passion don't have a right to live" and "every one has a passion, they are just too [dumb] to realize it)" << I may have over exaggerated this last one. A true fan boy of everything that's on TV and social media, He makes a ton of references to pop culture and sheeple interests. Basically another Elizabeth Holmes wanna be. The book as a whole was a pretentious privileged rant. (think valley girl, Starbucks in hand, and apple products in the other) I would skip this honestly. It wasn't worth a credit... might return if amazon allows me to. Nothing here you can't find in other books. Just a bunch of talking points about failure (which was good, so 2 stars).

I believe in you

I don’t know why but those words resonated so much with me. It has been a long time since anyone has said that to me, especially someone that I didn’t know. I genuinely felt like you meant It bro. Thanks My company is Nycphonebuyer. I started It because I was tired of my job, and over the course of two years I eventually replaced my income and left my banking career. I never imagined I’d be self sufficient. I read your book because it was selected by a book club I am a part of and at first I thought It would be cheesy but I was mistaken. You’ve provided some serious action steps that I’ve already put into place. When you talked about coach at the bedside, It made me think about how many people I’ve let down in my life by not putting my heart into things. Thanks for writing this book. Thanks for spending so much time during that breakfast with your friend that you realized It was needed. I don’t think I’ve ever written a review on audible before. This was really a great book.

A MUST READ, doing after knowing is the key.

One of the most valuable resources I could lay my hand on. Great proven practices, when implemented consistently over a period of time gives stunning results. Be a doet not a dreamer. Learning and not doing as good as not knowing. So what's important is to ACTION ORIENTED.
