quick and steamy

The narrator is make and character is female. this threw me off initially. Story is well spoken, smooth, with a natural flow.Izzy is a spoiled 18 year old, whose dad secures her a job. Romance evolves from there.

Quick coworker romance

This is supposed to be a 30 minute story. Izzy is a carefree young woman. Izzy has moved from job to job and guy to guy. She obviously isn't very serious. Izzy's dad calls in a favor to get her a job in a department store. Izzy meets Danny her supervisor. Danny isn't impressed or interested in Izzy at first. Every woman who walks in the department store is interested in Danny though. Izzy becomes determined to prove she's serious for once and get close to Danny as well. Izzy finds out, through Facebook, that Danny is going to a club with some friends and decides to go as well. At the club everything changes. Izzy and Danny get kicked out of the club. From then on their lives aren't boring and they get together every chance they get.

Quick read and listen! Happy for now ending, Happily ever after implied. I do with there was more to that background. But super cute all the same. Narrator was a little ho-hum.

Escapades of Izzy

Izzy has never kept a job long, always getting into sexual shenanigans, and losing her job. Her dad calls in a favor and gets her a job in a department store. She sets her sights on her new manager, Danny.

It is narrated with a male voice told from Izzy's point of view, not sure why as the story is never told from Danny's.

Short read

Izzy came off as just being a condescending brat. Always getting what she wanted when she wanted it. 95% of the story was from the female point of view. I usually like John’s narrations, but maybe a female narrator would have been for this story.

30 min escape

This is just what is says - a short romance so be warned that there is not really a lot of "meat" to this story.
First for the things I didn't care for so much...I received an audio version of this book and it's told from the female lead character, Izzy...but the narrator (who did a good job) was male - and that totally threw me off. Secondly Izzy's character comes thru as a spoiled brat - actually I think she admits she's spoiled so there's that. Danny is our lead male character and Izzy's co-worker/boss. He caves in the most unusual way - there was no lead up really he's seemingly cold, then f*cking her in the bathroom. I think there needed to be more transition here.

So, now for what I did like - It is a well written and produced audio - no typos, stutters or skips. The narrator did a great job - smooth voice, nice tone - well done! The storyline was fast paced and I did like that Danny held out and there was the idea of a lasting relationship being formed between these two main characters. All in all it's a super fast read / listen to escape for 30 min!

Her Coworker!

This is a very short and quick read/listen. I listened to the story on Audible and thought the narrator did an okay job. The story is about Izzy and Danny. Her dad has pushed her to get a job. He has pulled some strings to get her a job in fashion, a department store actually. When she starts she is immediately attracted to her boss, Danny. She is in hot pursuit and finally shows up at party he is attending. These two have fun in the bathroom and soon make that a habit. Izzy drove me nuts at first. She acted spoiled and entitled. I liked Danny. He kept things professional for a while. The story was fun and entertaining.

Immature young woman pursues her boss

Story review: Izzy (h) is an eighteen-year-old woman whose father has called in a favor to get her a job in a department store. Danny (H) is her manager who she's instantly attracted to. After a lot of pursuit from her, they begin having hot, intense sexy times with one another. The story is only told from Izzy's POV, and I wish there were either matching chapters of a Danny version of things. Izzy seemed really immature, spoiled and too focused on her physical attractiveness - I get that she's exploring her sexuality, but I just didn't like her. It eventually became a steamy read after going through Izzy's machinations for two-thirds of the short story, but I don’t feel like this was going to be a relationship with any real staying power.

Audio review: The choice of a male narrator for a story that is only told from the female MC's POV was really distracting - it just didn't work for me to hear Izzy's inner voice and for it to be male when she's a highly sexualized young woman. There were a few times when the narrator would use a faked female voice for female characters' dialogue only to not use a faked female voice for dialogue in another scene. I've read the story before listening to the audio and was hoping that the audio would be better, but for me it wasn't.

A little playful

The fmc’s lack of motivation for finding a job and her determined pursuit of landing ‘the hottest man’ was hilarious. The narrator’s interpretation of an 18 year old girl definitely contributed..

I liked listening to this book. The characters were interesting, there was lots of chemistry, and it was entertaining. Great short listen.
