Horse or Teenager

Meredith does a great job at preparing new horse owners. I feel like I have learned almost everything I need to know. Now I am unsure if I really want a horse that may have an attitude like my teenager. All jokes aside this author is amazing and a must-read for any horse owner new or not.

A must-read if you're in the horse business or just beginning. There is always something to learn and this is a very basic guide so I think that various levels of equine experts can benefit from this book.

Vets are friends

I have read a few beginning horse care books and respect that Meredith is so humble as she gives information. She has many years of experience and still makes sure to mention that the Vet is your friend. It takes a village to raise a baby and a horse.

Sport Horse

I never thought about it the way Hill explains it. She encourages to pick a horse based on what sports you want to do with your new best friend. This is something I hadn’t thought of before. So grateful for this author sharing her experiences.

All around great book

This book has everything you need to succeed in anything horse-related, it should be your first stop even before deciding you want to own a horse.

You need to read this

All of the important horse care tips and tricks and information are in one place. The author mentions needing to do all of the research before pwning a horse because of the immense responsibility they are. I feel like she gives all of the research in one place.

Great for for New Horse Owners

The narration is clear and engaging, making it easy to absorb the wealth of information provided. I am also very visual so the PDF is a fantastic touch, offering additional resources that complement the audio perfectly. Highly recommend!

Everything for the new horse owner!

As a former pony mad child, I am finally in a position at 53 (!) to buy my first horse! This book is an excellent resource about everything you need to think about, much of which I didn't even realise. Really entertaining too, and the author clearly knows her subject inside out. Loved the stories of her Thoroughbred Red too, he sounds quite the character!

Worth the credit!

I had so many credits to spend and wanted to try another Meredith Hill book since these are so insightful. My advice would be to start here as it is more of a general guide and then pick one of her more specific books for further research.
