Western Discipline

Not only did this book tell you how to bond with your horse but the author goes into serious detail on western discipline and different sports and activities for your horse. I leaned about the English discipline that I wasn't well versed on and now I have more things I want to try especially in the Jumping department.

Ready to own a horse

I am a little unsure about owning a horse because it is such a huge responsibility and the amount of equipment and knowledge you need to take care of a horse is so immense. But this book made me feel a little better about it and gave me a starting point.

There's nothing I love more than extra information included in something. Along with the audiobook packed full of really helpful things. This author has included a PDF with this audiobook with a list of helpful resources.

Must Listen

I have read the physical copy of a previous Meredith Hill book and thoroughly enjoyed them. The way she expresses all of her knowledge is inviting. This narrator did her words much justice and kept me entertained while listening. Give it a try.

What is dressage?

I hadn't heard of dressage before this book and I feel like I got a great overall look at it in this book and what to generally expect of myself and my horse if I were to begin doing this type of activity or competiton. I am off to find books on dressage. T o learn a lot of horse things listen to this book.

Helpful Author

I have now read all of Meredith's books and she is very knowledgeable of horses and all things equine. It is refreshing to read an informational book that was written by somebody who has hands-on experience and isn't just guessing at how you should do something. Loved this book.

My favorite author

I have listened to everything by Miss Hill she’s great very insightful. She knows a lot and she doesn’t say it in a way that makes you feel less than. She’s so helpful and such a kind soul to educate all of us fellow horse lovers. Highly recommend.

Act Casual

I have been so frustrated with my horse avoiding me, I allowed the human-animal barrier to limit my willingness to get along with her. I want her to trust me but was running into walls with how to overcome this. This author reminded me that bonding with a horse is simple. It is something that takes time that I was not allowing to happen. I am on day 4 of "acting casual" around my horse and I am hopeful.

Enjoyable

I really enjoyed this one. The author both educates and supports the reader while staying humble. She never assumes she knows everything and encourages you to get more education through the endless links she put in the PDF for this book. A must-read for the equine community.
